Does anyone know if you get a better price for exploration data if you've achieved allied status with a particular system?
I've sold so much exploration data already in a certain independent system that I'm now allied.
Does this make any difference?

I don't think so - unless there's a community goal attached to that system/station.

IIRC it takes about 5-6MCr from neutral to allied (a tad over 2Mcr from friendly to allied), so I usually sell enough data to get allied with a particular minor faction and sell the rest elsewhere.

My take on this is no. You only get more credits for your data if you sell to a station in a CG scenario or if you pledge to one of the guys in the PP (dont know who - dont do PP).

Selling to systems that will give you permits to other systems, get you that permit too.

Iv just sold to my 'home base' system when returning, players state that spreading the data around to many systems of a particular faction, will improve your status with that faction.
That's something that iv not done, but now im Elite, i want to up my ranking with the Independent alliance. So now im in Independent space, working on my rankings with system factions.

Yeah, when you get back to sell more they'll be really friendly in comms.
