Really hope you are right there.
Dont get me wrong... another 50 is nothing, it's not about that cash; but what really worries me that focus will shift too soon to that new and shiny thing and much needed polish and improvements for the "basic" game are put on the list way, way down.

I share your concern 100%. It's an unfortunate state of affaris that "new and improved mining mechanics, and fleshed out mission system" will move way fewer boxes than "PLANETARY LANDINGS OMGZ!"

Our main hope is that FD will do the right thing, and divert a sizable portion of the funds from the expansion towards improving the core game, rather than the next shiny expansion.

Shouldn't it be called Elite: Horizons? Or Elite: Dangerous: Horizons? Will the passenger expansion be called Elite Dangerous Horizons: Passengers? Then walking around expansion will come out, called Elite Dangerous Horizons Passengers: Walking Around.

The community page said "those that joined in the first year." I take that to mean those that paid for the game between November 2012 and November 2013.

I presume that "Existing players will also unlock the exclusive Cobra Mk IV ship in Elite Dangerous: Horizons. The Cobra Mk IV will be available in the game only to players who joined us in the first year – forever." means year 2015 (or from 16 Dec 2014 to public release of Horizons), automatically including all earlier backers/buyers according to their pledge level (prem Beta & higher and Expansion Pass folk for free, others who buy the new expansion pass or Horizons this year will also unlock the ship).

I took it to mean anyone who joined (brought or already had brought) between December 2014 and release of Horizons 2015. I have a feeling I will be right, but hopefully as Michael is around now he can confirm

It isn't explicitly listed MB, but I upgraded to Alpha from a Standard Beta kickstarter. I seem to recall that it included the expansions, but the content is no longer visible - do you need me to pay MORE money, or am I cool?

The one big question about planetary landings

Do FD regard Pluto as an airless world or not? After all, it has an thin atmosphere (through about half of its orbit).

Because you can't make an expansion called "Horizons" and not let us land on Pluto!
