One would assume that, if FD are releasing the lifetime expansion pass again (for a limited time), then existing expansion passes are still valid (I bought mine along with PB), so no purchase necessary. Would be nice for FD to confirm this (and apologies for not reading through every post to find out).

As much as I love the concept and potential of ED and what PL may bring, I will wait on this for a while.
I joined beta full of hope and expectation for a rich fulfilling game but that has gradually been eroded over the past months to a point that the hype train does not hold the promise it once did.
My heart says yes my head says patience, I hope that FD have found a way to breath life into ED but I have my doubts still.
If PL is just a reskin of the game mechanics we already have then I will give it a miss....prove me wrong FD, please

Is the Cobra one of the five pre-launch bonus ships we are still waiting for? If so why is it available to everyone?
Is the 25% permanently applied to our accounts?
Is this expansion a stand alone game with assests being shared across from the existing ED, is it fully integrated i.e. actual 'landings' or does it involve docking and taking the lift/shuttle i.e. instanced?
Again, I so want this to be epic but I have reached a point where I need FD to prove it.
Not strictly true, a starter ship and the full game (when launched) costs only £35.

You can always put $400,-- down on a ship in Star Citizen... that you cannot even fly yet.

I'm confused (and also possibly, stupid!). Is this an expansion or a completely separate game? Planet landings seems a natural fit for the game as it stands now, and I have no trouble with handing over some extra moolah to make that happen, but I bought in because I wanted to play ED. I'm unclear now on the direction this is taking. Are we going to end up with several different versions of the game or what...

Any MMO goes this route, and it makes sense, to expect everyone to get the latest expansion. So I am neither surprised nor worried by this decision. In fact, it means that any future content can make full use of the planetary gameplay and won't have to make compromises on that front.
