General Questions

I was just wondering if horizons will come included with our current purchase of Elite: Dangerous. Also are the multi pilot ships already in rotation in the game and if they are which ships they are.

It most likely wont, it's gonna be a pretty big expansion and I doubt they'd just give it away for free to anyone who bought ED for an already reduced price I don't think it'll be out until about easter next year. I cant answer the second question though.

Sorry no multi-crew ships at the moment, supposed to be part of a later update. As for Horizon being included with Xb1 version, no announcement yet.

Probably not but then would you begrudge a couple of quid for more awesomeness?

Not as far as i know. Hiring crews was great in Frontier though. Fire the expensive ones and keep all the cheapies lol

Yeah I don't mind paying extra at all I am a little annoyed that the game keeps crashing so I have taken time off for Smite but this game really is fun. Just recently started looking more into this game as a few buddies had picked it up so I was looking around for more information and patch notes and saw Horizons and thought it was cool. This game feels like it will be better than No Man's Sky though as it looks and feels more realistic.

We are still in BETA, so hopefully by the time the XB1 version is officially released as a final retail product, most of the issues we are dealing with in these beta builds would have been sorted out.

At least I certainly hope so!

NMS definitely looks more Anime looking which I am not crazy about myself, but I still plan on picking it up on release day. I've been waiting 30 years for a decent open world space adventure/simulation for consoles, so the thought of being able to own TWO of them at nearly the same time is almost too much to believe! ;)

ED is definitely more of a SIM than a typical console game, and as such, I am pretty sure it is going to have the most longevity. Especially if the XB1 version gets the Horizons expansion. There has been no official announcement from FD that the XB1 version is getting that expansion. Everyone is assuming that we will, but until FD sets a date, don't expect it will be coming.

I am a preview member and a developer myself I understand being in Beta more than most people and I understand it isn't a full product. Still can be a little annoying when you are just docking and then it says network error for the 3rd time in 30 minutes :p

No doubt! I frankly can't understand why they are having so many server issues with this game. I play exclusively in SOLO mode and even I am getting booted out of the session far too often, even for a beta.

That has been the biggest issue with this game to date. Not the game itself, but their totally flakey servers that seem to have a great amount of difficulty handling even a lighter beta population of players.
