Fast Spinning Star

Few or I shall say, many did. I even saw one long time ago.

They are very rare, I dont think they are Bug of stellar forge.

I have seen a few of those, and they do spin really fast.
Anyone know if they pay out more than a normal star with regard to exploration data?

Nice video, I have only looked at them from the jump in point, they look better from a distance.

I've seen a few B or O class stars that do this in my travels. I've speculated that maybe they are very close to going supernova and are contracting. Or the game engine is confused about the proper size they should be, and made them smaller then they would otherwise be which increases their spin.

Either way, I was quite scared of the first one I found. I didn't even want to fuel scoop it.

I have a few logged and some O-class too, I will try to catch them when I sell the data and report back....

Awesome video! and awesome finding!!

Yes, I've found 3 bodies like that, in over 120,000 ly of explorations under my belt. These are rare, as rare can get, and I mean for fast spinning bodies, whether A, B, O, or Herbig.

Yeah, could be a pulsar just is not becuase is a B, this is rather large star, pulsars are neutron star size, and even Herbigs are smaller.

This is probably a very young star, among the B stars which are already a young class.

Repped!

Funny thing though, I have not started exploring yet and this is actually pretty close! Somewhat smacked in the middle of civilized space.

That would be pretty cool, if they actually implemented that mechanic, Stars entering supernova or even turning in to blackhole. Would love to see those things happening in-game, but I dont think the ships would survive such events! haha
Watching them upclose I mean.
