Neutron field strangeness, holiday snapshots (and a bit of bragging)

I returned from my Sag A* pilgrimage yesterday (okay, let's get the bragging out of the way: I made Elite :D), and on my way home I dipped my toe in the neutron fields. I find neutron star systems fascinating, not least because you can sit and wonder about what they looked like before the star imploded. I scanned roughly 90 neutron stars during this trip, and much to my amazement I found 3 that had ELWs:

Aside from the fact that I find ELWs around neutrons stars kind of odd (neutron stars primarily give off energy in the form of x-rays, which is incredibly hostile to oxygen-breathing life, and would hence break down most eco-systems), I was amazed at the observed frequency of them. If only I could find an ELW around every 30 M-class stars! ;)
As I said, my sample size was rather small - was I encredibly lucky, or do neutron stars have a high likelihood of ELWs?

I found this system in the neutron fields as well:

It might be kind of hard to see, but that binary M-class has 5 WW orbiting it, 4 of which were terraformable :D

And I also bagged my first ringed ELW on the way home:

And when it rains...:

Also found this rather large ringed AW, quite pretty too:

As well as an ELW moon and an AW moon:

Promised myself I'd try to enjoy civilization a bit when I got back from this trip - I wonder how long I'll last :D

Not long Commander ;)

*quickly checks to see if that's the ringed ELW I found on my way IN* ...

*phew* It's not :)

Have some rep for a good report, sir. o7

And congrats on your Elite rank - this is what I'm going out for ;)

Congrats :) Nice finds

You recognized that the ELW shown in your first pic is a record for the longest orbital period? ;)

Last time I lasted all of 2 days :p Aiming for a bit longer this time :)

Every time I come back in, reading the forums sends me back out. ;)

Great snapshots CMDR and congrats on your awesome trip!

Thanks, Commander :) Might have to stay away from this place for a while ;)

Thanks, Commander, glad I didn't steal your discovery at least :)

I would not say there are many but as I mentioned in this thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=175996 - it could happen and unlucky wise for me also that you are not the first there ><

Btw nice pics and gz for elite ;)

Sorry if I stole your discoveries, Commander  Have some rep as compensation!

Congratz Raz. I'm still yet to find my first ELW. Bagged most other except those so far

Thanks, Commander :) You'll get there soon enough - if you're getting impatient, stick to G- and F-class for a bit, you'll find one in no time :)

Hah, hadn't noticed, thanks for letting me know, will be sure to report that one :D
