General / Off-Topic Elite Dangerous needs more Doctor Who!

I just knew those relics I picked up in deep space looked a little odd....

The T.A.R.D.I.S is in the game just now, but it's got a really good perception filter. Either that for he's finally fixed the damn chameleon circuits!

Perhaps not Dr Who which is basically just silly.

Perhaps a bit more danger.

Bandits. Paranoid governments, obsessed with protocol. War zones where there is actually a very active war. Bounty hunting that is a bit more tactical and a bit less going to the shops and returning.

Perhaps some elements of Blake's 7. Unstable, increasingly oppressive government being repeatedly challenged by ambitions thugs and terrorists for control. Along with some peculiarly weird, insular civilisations developing from lost colonies, over hundreds of years.

The BBC did a couple of Blake's 7 radio plays last year which were brilliant. I was hoping there'd be a bit of a Blake's 7 revival. The problem with the show was that it was a bit of a cheap "Star Wars" knock-off, and no amount of interesting characterisation or plot can fix that.

I did it anyway ... Reservoir Daleks

But "WHO" exterminated Nice Dalek Eddy??
(Trying to work out that existential question as we speak!)

ps. I must confess that I love Clara Oswald, probably best in the whole wide wibbly wobbly World!
Gratuitous Clara Pic :

And no jokes about FD naming a station after her, so people can dock there either,
I saw her first OK? And the Cidermen will delete from History, all who oppose! :D

Romana would snap Clara in two like a cheap bread stick.

Although let's be fair, Romana is by now .. about 78?

Long live Capaldi. Sayonara Smith (fun while it lasted I suppose) and all hail Clara, you cutely dimpled breadstick you! I know you love that teacher soldier bloke, but actually the Doctor is your fave .. and because million to one chances crop up nine times out of ten; I'm not very far from Cardiff and I drive a spaceship too. (chuckles)

ED does have Dcotor Who in it... [personal (likely inaccurate) opinion] Whenever I see the blue-coloured hyperjump sequence I'm always reminded of the title sequence for Tom Baker's era - I suspect that this might not be wholly accidental but I'll never know for sure.
