Imperial Eagle is the backers free ship then?

Wait a sec.

Last time I wiped my save, I restarted at Shinrarta Dezhra with a Cobra (KS SPECIAL: Explorer). I still have it stored, with most equipment still "on loan". (Which makes rebuy price REALLY cheap)
So basically I'm being given an Imperial Eagle, with equipment on loan, that I can keep alongside that Cobra?

Or does it only apply to those actually used the starting choice "Imperial Bounty Hunter?"

Michael said that anyone entitled to start with the Imp Eagle will get one. Clearly you couldn't start with one when you started, and they cannot tell the difference between 'wanted the imp eagle but since it was not available I took the cobra' and 'i was going to take the cobra anyway'. So we all get one. A Frimpeagle.

Can anyone remember what the "Founder" level on the Kickstarter campaign was? I can't seem to find the old KS tiers & their rewards in my bookmarks for some reason.

But that seems to be a red herring, admittedly one let loose by Michael. He said that anyone entitled to start in the Frimpeagle would get one free. And because of all the 'plus all the rewards above' stuff, that is anyone who pledged at least £32.

I asked the question but nobody replied, so, I don't know. I know that since I started playing, even after picking the Cobra initially, I have an Eagle gathering dust somewhere in LHS 3447, so, I assume that if you pledged at least the Imperial bounty hunter level, you would get it. That is assuming that this regular Eagle was some kind of replacement for the Imperial Eagle that was just introduced.

That eagle, known as the freagle, was a freebie from FD with the mercenary pack. Some pledge levels got that thrown in for nothing.

So the Frimpeagle is from (the Kickstarter price of) 85 GBP upwards as from that level on one could access the founders world?

Pledge £85 or more

Kickstarter Special: Have the option to start in the founder's world with any starter ship and 4,000 CR. Note: any Kickstarter decal-carrier will be able to travel to this secret system in gameplay** plus all rewards above.

This kind of stuff seriously needs a well-maintained spread sheet with links as a central authority for those kind of questions :(

The founder's world thing look like a red herring to me. But then FD are not known for the clarity of their communication.

The Imperial Eagle as a starting ship came with a pledge of just £32. All higher pledge levels, of course, included that option. So if they are really giving a Frimpeagle to everyone entitled to have started with one, then everyone who plegded £32 or more should get one.

As far as I can tell, the only relevance the founders thing has is where your Frimpeagle will be found. See Michael's comments higher up the thread.

Oh yeah, this sounds correct after re-reading the whole thread. Thanks for clarifying (again :D)

IIRC the Freagle was a standard eagle with a special red skin - does the Frimpeagle also receive a special skin or will it remain stock, just the same as you can buy it?

That's correct.

Just to check, is the "Beta Mercenary (or before)" level backer second free ship still something that we should be looking out for?

I don't really care about any sort of ETA, I only wanted to make sure I am even remembering things correctly.

I logged into the 1.4 beta yesterday and, sure enough, I had an Imperial Eagle waiting for me in Liabeze. I now have 2 Eagles: the "frimeagle" in LHS 3447 and now this Imperial Eagle in Liabeze.

That ship (which is traditionally called the Freagle) was made available to us months ago. You can find where yours is, assuming you qualified for it) by finding a stored ship icon on the galaxy map or by going into the shipyard when docked and using the stored ship tab.
