Internals:

Shipyard stats as equipped (measured top speed 186 / boost 306):

Wonder how this measures up to the Vulture... Can't punch stats in since I'm not at a computer at the moment

Can't read the internals on mobile, but the hardpoints are enough to get even the most curmudgeonly cmdr hard

Internals:
2x2
1x5
2x6.

let's say you want to have fun piracying NPC ships, 1 class 2 FDS interdictor, 1 class 2 cargo hatch breaker, and...1 class 5 collector?
are u kidding?
make 2x1 internal slot...so we can mount the 3 internal needed for piracy, a class 5 shield and 2x6 cargo rack!

... how good is the convergence of the weapons considering their positioning in combat...

from what i have seen is optimal.
2 the 2 medium and the bottom class 3 weapon are fully centered.
the one class 3 on the top can be used with a gimballed or a fixed weapon like plasma accelerator.
This because, let's say you tend to pitch your nose up while fighting (that's my case), with 3 fixed weapons on the bottom like 2 rail and 1 beam, keeping those 3 crosshair on the target should align the top hardpoint with the estimated position of your target.

i don't know if I explained myself..

This is the Assault ship what you have described :) Gunship has 2x class 1's on the top.

Space dump truck design, poor speed, low shields when in most cases Shields are gone=players start to flee
Low manuverability, and the strange choice of hardpoints - it's not even upgrade to Python

Tried on out yesterday. I upgraded powerplant, thrusters, distributor, shields and weapons before I started. I have to say I can't agree with most of the comments here. I found it faster and more manoeuvrable than the Python. Had no trouble keeping Vultures in my sights and it blew away anything I pointed it at.

I'm not going to get one in the main game, but I will be very wary when I come across one.

I wasn't impressed initially as it's not the fastest or most agile ship I've flown (Gunship not Assault ship) but I tried it with an all pulse laser turret loadout, weapon power at 3 pips will run them almost continuously and being turrets they make up for the lack of agility and the firepower is sufficient to kill small ships real quick.

This thing has seven hard points.
Seven.
Hardpoints.

That's like, one more than an asp.
People need to start seriously tripping balls over this stat because that's a lot of hard points.

I'm absolutely getting one and you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to fit it with seven fixed frag cannons, then run assassination missions and pirate large CMDRs. CMDRs who do not comply are going to find themselves becoming popcorn faster than they can pull the plug (unless they're in a clipper). 64 tons or insurance, your choice.

good luck in pirating people with an amazing top boost speed of 325 m/s lol

An A-rated Python reaches 340-350m/s boost speed.

A value that is 35~45 faster than what EDshipyard listed (before this data got pulled). Assuming a similar relationship between actual and listed speeds is present for the FGS, the FGS should close on a python.
