EDDN update tomorrow actively rejects V1 messages. Please upgrade to the latest version of RN-DJ

As I reported before the EDDN will drop schema V1 support on the first of July.
Please do upgrade in time to RN-DJ 1.84_0.27.

All older versions will result in an error when sending data to the EDDN. Jamesremuscat who created the EDDN and was later joined by Anthornet (performed mircales) has make this official statement in my EDDN thread. Otis B. was the man behind the shipyard information schema.

Hi all,

Please take this as notice of some downtime for EDDN at around 23:00 BST (22:00GMT, 00:00 CEST) on 1st July, for the deployment of v0.5.

The main changes in this release are configuration: namely, dropping support for the v1 schema, and adding support for a new shipyard information schema. Thanks to all who have contributed to this release.

Total interruption should be less than 30 minutes.

Well, it worked yesterday.....

I upgraded to the latest version yesterday and it worked great. Today, the program hangs and I have to kill it in task manager.
The splash screen stays up for a very long time and I get the "waiting/working" spinning windows cursor. The Task manager show it using a constant 25% CPU on my machine.
Eventually, minutes later, I get this screen. (Notice the "label 92")
At this point I can poke around in the program until I get into price analysis tab, then it locks.

.............

UPDATE: I overwrote the program with that from the zip and used all the bak files in \data just in case it was corrupted data. No effect. Same problem.
Update 2: Well I guess it's kind of working. Everything I click on gives me the spinning "working" cursor, and if I wait for like 5-10 minutes it does eventually switch the screen/do it's thing. But this isn't right.

is it possible that you've collected too much EDDN data ?
try to rename Autosave.xml to Autosave_old.xml and then start RN

Hey Duke, I think Antrys may be onto something here...

I too am getting high usage (~25%) for no apparent reason and I do not collect EDDN/EDDB data, only my own. I noticed it yesterday, that there were lags in ED in unusual places, so I checked Task Manager. RN was running at ~25% CPU and RAM usage was ~240MB. I shut RN down, restarted it and the RAM usage dropped to 109MB and CPU remained around 0-1% for quite a while after. I didn't play long enough to see if usage went back up because there was a problem with ED servers. I have 42 Station's worth of trade data taken from 25 disparate System's. As before, I only use my own data.

Hope this helps in some way.

How can i fix implausible data? If i correct them and press OK, nothing changes. Also if i click on save unified csv, only the first screenshot's data is saved in CSV.

1. Implausible data - it may not be the OCR'ed image/data that is wrong, it may be that the data is being viewed as out of range in the 'Commodity Price Warn Levels'. (I haven't got RN set up on this PC, so I'm telling you this from memory) When you have an 'Implausible Data' event and the numbers and names are the same as in the screenshot from which they came (the screenshot you took in game) then it may well be out of range of the warning in the 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' list. When you have the 'Implausible Data' open, you'll see the 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' button at the bottom left of the window. Click that and adjust up or down the numbers in the relevant field to match the Implausible Data. Make sure you correct the right field! There are 8 of them for each commodity in the 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' list.

Clarification/Instructions:
For instance, if on opening of 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' you find that the price on the screenshot shows 1167 Buy price and the 'Buy low Price' in 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' says 1168, it means that you will get a warning because the price is above that of the low price as set in the 'Commodity Price Warn Levels'. If you change the 1168 to 1167 in 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' --> 'Buy Low Price', the warning will disappear. Remember: the 'DEMAND' (SellLow/SellHigh/BuyLow/BuyHigh) prices in 'Commodity Price Warn Levels' are a totally different to the 'SUPPLY' (SellLow/SellHigh/BuyLow/BuyHigh) prices, they work independently of each other. You will get your head round it. Look at it this way, if the Station sells it and has a supply of the commodity, then it's a Supply price; and if a Station wants it and has a demand amount, then its a Demand price.

2. Unified CSV - are you trying to import the data just scanned and OCR'ed into RN? If so, you use the 'Import Data' or 'Import' button just to the right of the 'FINISHED' window. As I said earlier, I'm not in front of my PC to check the correct wording, but if I've got it wrong, it won't be way off and you'll know exactly what I mean when you see it. If importing data isn't what you were trying to do, just say.

3. Unified CSV - I used 'Save Unified CSV' last night and it worked without issue for me, saving all data, about 30 Systems (60 Stations) worth. Silly question (which Antrys will shout at me for and no doubt make me apologise for later ;)), have you got more than one screenshot's worth of data stored in RN, that is, can you see all the data you have in the 'Price Analysis' bit of RN and all the stations and the price data is correctly assigned to the correct System/Station?

1. so i can't fix implausible data, just by a workaround? (which wouldn't work as for one item, it didn't OCR-ed anything). Why i can't just correct the badly OCR-ed data? Why all screenshots need to be perfectly OCR-ed to be able to upload to eddn? In EliteOCR i can just correct in the badly recognized data, and continue.

3.As i wrote, i've made 4 screenshots, all of the data is OCR-ed, and appeared in "CSV output from OCR" textbox, but at save, only the data from the first screenshot is saved, and only these are appear in price analysis.

Also i can't see an option to force OCR, so i can't retry to OCR the same screenshot, i need to make another one.

Okay, I better understand... Yes, you can change just one piece of data. At the bottom of the screen in 'Edit Results' you can check the OCR and the data derived from that. If the derivation is off, just overwrite it (type it in) with the correct data in the OCR data or from the screenshot.

I have no idea why only the 1st screenshot is being saved.

You can get it to OCR the screenshots you've already taken. What you do is cut them from the folder where the screenshots are placed (normally '\My Pictures\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous'), paste them somewhere else, for instance, the desktop and then paste them back into the the screenshots folder. Do all this while RN is running. Basically, RN will think you've taken new screenshots and OCR the ones you've just pasted there. You can do this procedure however many times you want.

If i change it in edit results, then it still writes implausible data, it seems the errors don't get refreshed after the edit. Also can't force to upload the manually corrected data to EDDN.

The reason it still says 'Implausible Result' is more than likely because of what I wrote in point no.1 in post #225. You'll need to check (and change if you have to) 'Commodity Price Warn Levels'.

No, every values were in range.

Interesting...

Okay, what are the values and commodity, please? I'll have a look on my end and see if there is something amiss with (maybe) the data you have? I'll need all the values present in the line that's giving you problems, including the MED/LOW/HIGH bits. In fact, take a screenshot, because I **think** I've worked out what the problem is...

Is it 'Narcotics'?

It seems that i've corrected wrong data. It's very hard to see which is the supply and which is the demand column on the filtered image. Now with trial and error (trying the numbers in supply and demand), i can fix implausible results-

Yeah, although there aren't any titles for the editable fields in 'Edit Results', you can see by looking at the format of the other data which field belongs to which column.

Glad you got it sorted!

Sorry for late response but at the moment I'm on vacation.

Sometimes I also get strange behaviour but I don't will fix it.
First I will release the sql-update and hoping these errors/behaviour are automatically fixed.
I'ts not worth at the moment to spent much time in things, which are removed soon...

Okay mate, hope you had a nice holiday!

Yeah, better leaving it alone, especially if you're going to make bigger changes. Never know, might clear itself up.

Take care and good luck, Duke!

Tiny issue, that I would love to be able to be fixed, that is granted only slightly annoying but even so.

The ability to launch minimized? right now even if an the app is launched towards minimized by other programs it will start up normally showing everything.

It seems to crash now if I open it. I Didn't change anything on my computer either.. Weird, anybody else been having problems?
*edit* scratch that. It does work, but it takes about 5 minutes to start up, during that time it says the program is not responding but eventually it'll start

Hi,
I assume one of the datas (market or log -> ""AutoSave.csv/"CommandersLogAutoSave.xml") have reached a critical amount.
You can test it if you remove or rename these files one after one (backup them before). If it's the log you can save
the current data as you leave it renamed. RN will create a new log. If it's the market data you will have to reduce the data
(delete older data-> settings tab/bottom) or (delete eddn data -> purge all eddn data)
This problem will be gone with the coming sql-version of RN. I will consider a possibility to load old files
of the commanders log. So you have all data again if you switch to the sql version.

Hi. Can you tell me what the OCR Correction Images folder is for? Can I delete the contents? It's getting rather large: 3202 items currently and I've only been playing for a few weeks.

Anyone able to explain why it seems OCR is behaving odd for me? I've tried to calibrate, now both with making placing the yellow markers at the perscribed locations and also tried using the zoomed window as guide for placement, since the yellow x and zoom doesn't lign up, yet for some reason it seems stuff is always cut off one digit too soon?
