Redid the "Fan Based Mod" page with a new default launcher interface for the mods etc....All extract and play straight from the menus if you need an Elite fix!! ...No installation required.

Expect more mods over the next few days :) Gotta keep the punters coming havent i :)

Actually Oolite is pretty awsome...never tried it till yesterday its everything i wanted my Amiga version to be...so slick with incredible eye candy

Indeed it is synchromesh. It is well developed, got tons of expansion packs (oxps) and just keeps getting more beautiful, more things to see and do, places to go and most of all it has a wonderful community that has grown up around it. Every fan of the original Elite should try it. :cool:

Also dont forget to visit the Oolite board to stay up to date with the latest happenings within the game http://aegidian.org/bb/index.php

Thanks Geraldine i have been on there the last few days getting info to compile the download for the site and the launcher button does take you to the Bulletin board so people can find out anything they need to know :)

I dont think people realise just how good this game is...The name always put me off i thought it was a joke !! But its a stunning game and i agree every elite fan should try it :)

Thanks synchromesh, very good job!

Now I can finally play FFE, and with extraordinary graphics too! Might have a go with that Oolite too, seems interesting when reading about it. What it lacks with planet landings and stuff like FE2 and FFE, it seems to make up for with great add-ons. Fuel-stations and Buoy repair facilities! Me likes! :)

@Rollo Trust me you will like Oolite....Space battles are perfect....The pulse laser isnt a great sound but does pack a punch..2 or 3 shots and the enemies out of it :) of course you can upgrade ..

But the space stations seem SO BIG !! i dunno why but it feels Death Star size...BTW...F10 goes full screen :)

@Ende...Ye i realise i was hesitent on the Mod downloads mainly because i wanted to keep peoples mines on Dangerous but later realised its both they want the new and the old...

I decided if i was gonna do it i wanted mine different so i figured standalone Launchers ..a single download...ready to run would be more appealing than individual rars, broken links and putting it all together yourself...I want the fans to know this is the best place to come to get the best versions ..

U got plenty of fans here for sure! lol

I suggest u just post up what u personally like yourself. U usually find things u like r also what other fans of Elite also like. I also think its great to have somewhere independant of the official game where all the 'stuff' can be held as a kind of archive :)

Just a few more small updates...Added a kickstarter page with all the other community kickstarts on there...Dunno if it will help but certainly wont do any harm...Renamed Mods to Game remakes and added Pioneer..I will keep the mod section for Elite Dangerous once we start making them :)

Added a links page with a few to start with...any others who want linking let me know will you :)
