With the new Alpha (Phase 2) out we’ve decided to host a little competition to celebrate.

A ton of you have been uploading your own photos and videos of Alpha footage, and we’re going to look for the very best to award them. We’re looking for insane dog fights, scenic screen caps you name it. The more incredible the more we’ll notice it.

When you’re ready to upload your picture or video, simply post your entry into this thread or tweet it to @EliteDangerous on Twitter with the hashtag #EliteAlphaComp

Here's an Alpha Phase one example of the type of thing we’re looking for -

Rules
- The contest is open from now until Monday Morning 17th February 2014. A winner will be announced sometime next week(17-21/2/14) on both this forum post and on Twitter.
- One winner will be selected, for either a photo or video entry. If you are a winner you will be contacted with details on collecting your prize.
- You can enter this competition as many times as you like but all entries must be your own work.
- We're looking for Alpha phase 2 multiplayer content specifically.

Random meeting of three friends.

Not sure if this is eligible since I spliced in a pic Jenner provided for me for comic relief... If the spliced pic doesn't make it eligible, let me know and I'll rip one without the pic, because this to me was the most spectacular event ever - this was my first real go into multiplayer after getting into the alpha recently (I had poked my head in the night before when I finally got connected after playing single player scenarios when my MP wouldn't connect, but didn't do much because it was bedtime). My daughter is sitting beside me watching (hence the many, many questions), and who do I run into? Jenner, one of the two people I have been writing the majority of my fan fiction with in the Thargoid. I'm so shocked I barely know what to do, apart from return fire, because Jenner obviously had me under fire... I lost, but it was pure awesome to have run into one of the people I've come to interact with most here.

The other person I've been writing with, Yaffle, just happened to tune in to my live Twitch feed and watch my epic meeting. Now if The Lone Gunman had also seen it, my brain might have spontaneously exploded, but overall, three people, previously connected by a story in the Thargoid, meeting at random like this... I was giddy for hours... Not sure I'll be able to do anything that will top that for me. Thanks for the lack of an NDA so things like this can happen!
