We already have open, solo and sheltered workshop. Wouldn't mind making sheltered workshop an official option. Given angry birds elite is just in the process of being added I'd wait a little to see if it's really needed.

That's fine if you want to hide out there. I enjoy playing in Open in the Core worlds, It makes the game much more exciting for me. Not rubbish at all, no need to be so condescending

I am pretty sure Jockey knows what FD has said regarding the modes and what FD actually wants.. he's been posting a wall of text about it for ages pointing people to what FD said and wants.
Honestly i agree with this.
I don't doubt it. just know they provide Open mode, a fantastic game mode where you can PvP with other players, or even Pirate them. They said all the modes are equally valid. I am just giving opinions, or making suggestions. Some people just get insulted by this, no idea why. I am not trying to say anything nasty about them, just talking about the game.
Come on folks...there have to be more out there! Let's get this party started! PVE IN OPEN! PVP IN CQC!

People want PvP well CQC gives ya that. Though that leaves roles like priate's and bounty hunters in the lurch since all they could do then is go after npc's.

Cody, get the check list out - We've had "easier", now "hide" is being thrown out here.
The false claim is;
"I am just saying, the FACT that FD made two Open Only competitions meant something."
It meant they didn't want a PR disaster with people claiming mode switching was cheating - it also made it easier for them to detect any cheating.
They covered this, it is not proof of a favored mode, which you keep implying. I can claim PP shows Solo as a favored mode, doesn't make it true - so I wont.
I'd love to play the game my way, but my mode is not in game yet - I want to play this space MMO with other PvE players, as advertised - but right now there is only Solo PvE, Group PvP, Open PvP and the new CQC PvP.
I'll play my way when Open PvE is made, until then - I've been lied to by FD as I cannot play my way, the only multiplayer is PvP enabled.

Well when you make a comment about Solo being "easy" that has been used by some open only advocates and it is seen as an insult. For some reason people seem to think that since they don't have issues with NPC's that no one does.. which is false. Solo for some is hard.. just because human pilots are not there does not make it easy.

Thank's very much to you and the FDev team for all of your efforts. One or two subjective niggles of mine aside the game is the one I've been waiting for for years and I'm totally enamoured with it.

I left out the part that people do this in open because it doesn't need to be said, doesn't change anything, and is subject to different factors than doing it in solo/private.
If, for some mind boggling reason, a person decides to merit grind for the sole purpose of getting rewards in open play then they can be opposed and any effect they would have had on PP (positive or negative) possibly negated - at least for that moment, until they either start grinding again (and possibly stopped again) or go into solo/private.

What is wrong with using these words lol? By hide I refer to people who play in open and the duck into solo to avoid combat. Totally legit way to play. Are FD against this?
