Hey, I'm out undermining, and occasionally I come across these juicy wings of 3 that turn out to be an FDL and 2 FAS and that's just a bit outside my comfort zone. Any empire members want to wing up? I've got about 1100 merits left to collect. I do not have a mic at but have smart glass for chat currently.

It's good that You want to wing up with your fellow Imperials.
When You do I really suggest that You get a headset; when You encounter that wing of heavies, You are going to need real-time communications with your Wingman or else the team with superior communications will win the day. We have run into this a few times in my own faction.
I know that Wolfkins was trying to establish an Imperial Group awhile ago, but they haven't been very active of late. Try PMing Him, and maybe He can point You in the right direction.
