Hello Wishblend,

The Lifetime Expansion Pass is no longer available on the Store, having been removed on September 14th, and as such the window for purchase has closed. We announced this well in advance via our Store, newsletters and various social media outlets, and I am sorry to hear that you didn't manage to pick up a second LEP before the deadline.

If the Lifetime Expansion Pass is made available in the future we'll be sure to announce this to the community as before. :)

Lifetime Expansion Pass - Any Advice, Please?

(I hope that I have posted this question in the right thread section)
I had purchased Elite Dangerous very shorthly after it was released. I'd have actually intended to buy it in time before it was released (for the preorder bonuses and such), alas, it was not meant to be (at the time I was reeling from a very unlucky lasik surgery gone bad that had almost left me half-blind for the time being, so gaming wasn't exactly my forte :( )
So... my bad. No problem :D

And some time ago, I Heard the news that the devs/Publisher were bringing back the so called ''Lifetime Expansion Pass'' to the game for the current users who want to have it, but who - for some reason - couldnt buy'em back than when it was released.
Im one of those users.
But 3-4 weeks ago, when I had Heard the news, I LITERALLY didn't have a penny to my name (looking for work now) so I couldn't afford the lifetime pass EVEN IF I wanted to.
But finally, now that I have spared a little cash for my beloved Dangerous, I intend to get the lifetime expansion pass for it. I mean, im not exactly swimming in Money,, BUT IMHO this game is really Worth it.
The only dang problem is; I can't find the lifetime expansion pass on the store page anymore.
Was it romeved after about a month or so? :( Or am I just missing something?
I would really be very glad if anybody could help me out.

You could try contacting FD directly. They might be understanding given your circumstances.

Hope you recover fully from your surgery. That can't be fun.

Razrikiel - I would be very interested to see if support can do something for you in this situation....very sorry you missed the oppourtunity on the Lifetime pass.....
I would like to know - if they will not do anything for you - let me know - pm or post in this thread..

I am currently using 2 bandage contact lenses, a punctal plug, 20-40 lubricative drops a day, antibiotics-drops 2 times a day, and Restasis (also twice a day).
The result: less pain = I can live my life ''more'' like a normal person. But there is still much pain and some scare, too :(
Unless im mistaken, I think my night vision is getting worse, and generally im seeing worse at greater lengths. But my vision is currently still 1.1-ish (by our standars) so its all good : )
Sure, I cannot sit in front of a computer screen for more than 5-6 hours like I used to be able to,
*BUT* I really am looking forward to the 2(ish) hours a day of quality time that I can spend with Elite Dangerous (that's about all that I can manage right now without my Eyes getting too dry - despite the eyedrops). But EVEN just 2 hours with elite is heavenly to me lol :D )

Thus; -I MEAN NO DISRESPECT- but im just so saddened by the fact that I have missed BOTH the FIRST chance to preorder the game, and now this LAST chance to get a lifetime membership.
If Elite wasn't such an important game to me, I wouldn't care.... But frankly... it is! :D (Just take a look at that sweet, sweet Horizons expansion, dayum! Such Awesomesouce!!).
Thus, I recon I should heed your recommendation and hit the good'ol FD with a personal inquary. Maybe they could help me. IF yes, than I'd be so grateful to them. IF NOT, than at least I'would have tried......... and I CAN'T blame them for anything , anyways : ) (What happened to me and my monetary situation is naturally none of their fault).

I'd give it a shot - the worst that can happen is that they say No. I can see them being a bit reticent though since if they agree to waive the deadline for you then they have to waive it for everyone.

I have been considering eye surgery for a while. This is kind of scary though.

The Lifetime expansion pass, will return, perhaps in the future. You should ask at your surgeon if you can play the video games. For the security of your eyes

Pretty much what Patrick_68000 said OP. The screen judder when you're flying, especially when fuel scooping, could cause some problems. People have complained about headaches through eye strain because of it, and would like FD to either remove it altogether or be able to toggle it on/off. Good luck with your recuperation and petition to FD to obtain the LXP! :)

WoW I hope it gets better, laser eye surgery gone sounds insanely scary, I wear glasses and worry about my sight often though I am only in the grand scheme slightly near sighted, I cannot imagine what I would do if this happened to me.
Get better.

Edit: Also do contact Frontier, they are quite helpful.

The price of the LEP should only go down each year when it will be put back on sale. Your getting less and less content for the money so there is no way they could justify an increase in its cost.

Today I'm sure my 162,50 euro spent 2 weeks ago are a good choice. Now let me take a look a this bubbleheads... I miss the one of beta last year...
