I'd be prepared to pay for a decent cheesecake.
Although i think i'd like to pay using micro transactions based on the size of the slice rather than a subscription I don't want to get (more) fat.
but buying the whole cake would probably be better value

So, what do you prefer, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a nicely chilled Champagne or a deep red Douro?
Rip off, you say? yes, Argentinian Malbec, South Africa Pinotage, or a Tempranillo Rioja are great choices, but not as good. Now the Australians Syrahs...
Anyway, lets finish the analysis with a nice late harvest botrytis semillion (e.g. Sauternes) or a canadian ice wine.
Note: ''If you aren't used to drinking wine it can take a while getting used to all the terminology and it can be confusing.''

The posting of spam, off topic and pointless posts in a topic in a deliberate attempt to derail and lock it is a lot more offensive to me than some people disagreeing about the level of communication we'd like to see.
It's a pretty sad state of affairs. If this topic does get locked now it shows that free and open debate can be shouted down and derailed by a group of people willing to make useless posts.

Even though I don't exactly have sympathy for the OP I do wonder why and what is still being discussed here. It seems like this thread is being kept alive artificially. If people want it closed, why not just stop bumping it instead.
Yes FD should post more updates, everyone agrees. A more polite thread with a poll would be more productive though.
