U.S. Players, curious how many are out there?

I'm in Iowa, have about 5 months into the game. Trade mostly, with frequent sides of Bounty Hunting. Occasionally I'll head out I to the black, but I imagine I'll be toying with CQC until the novelty wears off.

I've noticed that many of Elite's players are British (as well as numerous other countries of course) which is of course perfectly understandable considering the roots of the game.

As a resident of Los Angeles, California I was just curious if there are numbers on the U.S. players and how many frequent these forums

steamspy.com shows some stats but you need to register to see them. Obviously it only covers Steam players and not the whole player base but it's probably a good guide.
