Community Event / Creation Gwen's all metal Scale Cobra MK III model

I'd love to hear more. I wonder if Gwen's done further work on it. Even if she hasn't, I'd love to see a picture of it mounted somewhere in her home :)

I am completely jaw dropping amazed that this was hand built. I first saw images of this at the Event on the display stand. I was actually google'ing with the hopes of finding some where selling/making a model I could acquire before begging Frontier to consider making some arrangements with a model company out there.

I would totally buy even a smaller version of the Cobra Mk III.

But still, after coming here I went through every single page. I really wish now that I could of been able to go to the event occurring at the Museum in UK. But with the lack of a job. Affording the trip let alone wanting to go is just no where possible. Now knowing your model ( Gwen ) will be there. I am totally jealous of everyone who is getting to go and will see it in person. ps... If anyone gets to chat with Michael, could you please beg him for me to consider talks with model companies to get an idea on pricing? Thanks in advance!

I'm speechless. I just went through the entire process on these 12 pages and I'm amazed. So many details, lights, just woooow. And since this is my favourite ship I shed a tear when seeing it "alive".

Beautiful work Glen, and don't know what else to say. Such talent, such attention to details. And I love the "girlie" paintjob, cause the ships doesn't look any less dangerous. :)

This thread made me register.
This is so amazing I'm out of words. I only hope you get rewarded in game. I mean, that purple paint scheme. It would be so awesome if Frontier rewarded you with a custom paint scheme from your model in game, that is account bound only to you. It would be well deserved and also very cool to see in game. "Oh look it's Gwe- *Contact has deplyed her hardpoints* Nope, nope nope I'm out of here".
Hell, you could be nicknamed the purple death! :D

This thread seems to have gone quiet? We're all waiting for further updates on this beautiful piece of work...?

This is really stunning. I just happened to find this thread through a google image search... Amazing work Gwen! Thank you for sharing.

Hey all, and thanks for all the kind words. Sorry for the extended leave from the forums but I'll try to keep up with things again now.

I ended up stripping the paint and going back to a bare aluminum scheme. I think it looks a whole lot better now. I'll try and take some updated photos soon for the forum.

Gwen

That is fantastic work! When you're done, please build me a 1:1 one that works :)

Can't believe it took me this long to find this thread, it's been a pleasure to skim-pic hunt through it!
