Powerplay Christ on a bike! Undermining is soooo boring now...

Don't mind the slowdown in the interdiction mechanics, but they seem to have remove the prey too! All individual ships. No wings to interdict. It has literally taken me just under 3 hrs to gain 1k merits....

Somebody kill me... :S
 
When I started out undermining I used to never get wings, but I get them a fair bit at the moment. Just a patch of bad luck old bean?
 
ooh have you flown one in anger yet?! Looks nice. Shields a bit light for my liking but everything else looks fun. Maybe after this week's pay slip.

Yup PvE undermining and PvP. It's good, but yeah weak shields for PVP, may have to defect to princess bubblegum for a bit.

If you've ever thought, this vulture is nice but I wish I had some Multicannons, this is your ship.
 
I am pleased to see that Undermining has been slowed down a bit. There has been a definite advantage in PP where Undermining is concerned vs. fortification efforts. Anything to balance this even a little is welcome news.
 
I'll tell you what, I could definitely see Jesus riding a bike down to temple every day to do some undermining, and if he felt undermining was too slow or unfair he'd just start flipping tables over.

This thing rocks hard even with shields down.

Yesterday evening in a HazRes i took on a wing of an FDL and two FDS with it(dangerous & deadly).
By the time i destroyed both of the FDS my shields were down due to the FDL plasma-ing my back end,
i boosted away, thought 'well, lets see what my mil bulkheads are worth', disabled
my shield boosters for faster recovery and attacked. After the first burst he couldn't get me under fire again, so i won
with 98% hull left.
The looks, the sounds(HQ Headphones), the agility and hardness.
This is going to be my No. 1 Fighter for sure.
And i had a vulture, clipper, annie and so on, too.
I freaking love it.

Very similar to yours. I like it. The shield power (or lack of) scares me a bit as I've been used to a 600+mj Vulture for the last 3-4 months, but it turns just as well - and anything that crosses the sights gets v quickly vaporised. It's also great for fixed sight combat too which I've been practising a lot with recently. The positioning of the guns is very focused and central.

I like it.

i had an A3 fuel scoop but this thing gets too hot quickly, hence the C5, scoops in a flyby.
2 C2 PA's pack a punch, oh my. IF they hit. Only using it for the bigger targets.
One beam/one burst for more Energy, and firing in controlled bursts, too.
Put bulkheads in it, then you'll be just like:
'Shields down? Meh. That one Annie over there looks like a big fish...'

edit: oh, and I don't know why, but the Shields actually feel stronger than the clippers, while they aren't.

Before that, i had a Clipper for Pirate-Hunting:

I changed the Clipper into a mining Ship, think my T7 can retire as of the added 'danger' in 1.4

I started with a 2A fuel scoop (exactly what I had in my Vulture config) and nearly fried on the first attempt. Moved to a 3A and its ok if you don’t mind hovering a bit. The 1.4 changes to FS speed must help. I’d imagine it would have been a nightmare otherwise.

PA’s miss too much for me (yes I blame them :D ). Every shot counts as far as I’m concerned. I can’t leave my finger down on 4 x pulse’s but I nearly can. They recover very fast with the 6A plant and disti.

5B SCB because I haven’t found a 5A yet.

4A FSDI because I started with a 4D and could hardly catch anything. Was taking massive damage when interdicting. Upping the interdictor eases that since 1.4. I noticed that with the Vulture.

What bulkheads!? Anything over military always seems to point towards a false economy to me - i e I could rebuy my ship 13 times as it currently stands just for the cost of Reactive Surface. Lol!

Yup, that stands a point. I, too, think that mil. grade is the best bang for the buck. That nearly doubles the already great armour on the FAS.
I like it so dang hard, I would asap buy a paintjob for it.

Only real change from my last build is another shield booster instead of chaff and 2 Frag cannons instead of Multis. This was after a PVP encounter where multis just didn't help that much against SCBs, but I suspect a Ram and then shotgun will.

Probably more viable with med med large pulse though. :p

Not now I've dropped the Beam down to a burst no and even before then only if I spammed the PA and Beam then it got a bit toasty, but the Cap would then empty before I could get it super hot.

Well that does it then. All that remains is we all Wing up and go cause some chaos somewhere on a long range suicide mission. Woop!
