OMG! You can make 20+Mil Cr per Hour, if you didn't realise.

Wow that stuff even adds to the Traderank. Made 30 Million today in an Asp. I think ill continue smuggling tomorrow and get that Tycoon.

I would need an asp that would mean I would already have to be rich, which defeats the purpose of a get rich fast scheme. It's nice an all, but if I already had an full speced asp, what would be the point? I guess to get an anaconda, idonno.

By the way , whats with those people chasing you and asking you to drop into their low wake... can i ignore them or do they offer me even more money for an optional objective?

Does it also contribute to the Hidden Skill Point attribute for reaching ranking missions? (I seem to recall that the money made from completing missions also played a role in addition to completing more missions.)

They offer you less, (a lot of the time), and yes, ignore them.

The first time I encountered one, I had no idea what he was wanting and he popped in while I was on a pirate killing mission. It being a Lawless system, I blew him up. He was somewhat bemused. :)

Based on my own experience from yesterday, no.
Flew all of my smuggling missions for fed factions, but no rank-up in sight.
Though I am sitting at post-com, so it just might not have been enough for me.

I'm an Imperial Lord so I might try and see how quickly I can get to Viscount this way. Through both missions and trading I reached Lieutenant in 1.4 remarkably sooner than expected.

Ok I tried this. I think somewhere along the line, something forced me to jettison cargo? I don't what happened, I saw the message in the top right when leaving a station. I ended up with 1 short of the commodities needed for three missions. So instead of 12 slaves, I had 11, and had to go searching for and wide to find replacements, ended up slashing three missions because of it and wasting two hours trying to find a slave, a narcotic, battle weapons.

I've never smuggled before, so I don't know how my cargo automatically dropped, each time I got scanned by a ship otherwise, it just fined me and I paid it, no big deal. But that time was weird and it threw off my whole run.

Good stuff was I got 6 missions ranging between 1.5m to 4m. With 2x3m missions and 2x4m missions. I made 16 million even though I had to abandon 3 missions, once I reached the delivery area for the first system in line, I was practically 2-3 jumps from each system.

This only works by exploiting and I don't think that is what FD intended. You can stock up as much cargo/missions as you can carry by just alternating between solo/open, until you're full then make 40 million. If you don't run into problems like me, then its all good. About 2 hours a round trip in an ASP. Flying, docking, selling, interdicting etc. Which is 20mil an hour. But it might not go perfect each time. I'll give it another whirl tomorrow, as I ended up taking 4 hours because of all the crap I had to go through as a result of losing the cargo.

For anyone wondering, I am merchant rank.

Get em while you can, someone reported this as a bug....

To be more specific they reported the mission stacking as an exploit.

For me, if there is a problem, it's in the reward, not getting multiple mission. It's just silly to fly 400 ly + just to take one mission if you're in a 80t Asp. Every transport is stacking missions IRL, they dont move only 1 people or stuff at the time because it's too profitable to get some of them at the same time.

Sry for bad english :p

I'm only a merchant and even if I find long range smuggling missions, the max payout I've ever seen is 600k. So it seems to me like I would have to grind trade rank if I wanted to make money in this way. Considering players with rank 5 PP are making 20+ million/hr bounty hunting it doesn't really seem all that unfair to me.

It is an exploit. Hopefully they can fix it soon.

How is waiting for multiple missions an exploit? Or even resetting the missions (which are stupidly locked behind a useless gating mechanism and not available instantly)? These missions do not really pay any better than anything else when you factor in travel time and turn in time.
