Can I play deathmatch against just 1 friend? - Private Server?
I'd like to go head to head with just a friend; no others in the arena; No need to score; sort of an unranked server; as they call it in Battlefield.

Also, is it possible to explore the arena just by myself in Solo mode? Practice in the ship..

It is not possible as far as I know, but the ability for private matches is something I hope they are working on.
Pretty much needed for tournaments.

and SUVs with AAA and SAMs on them to take out Ships. Plus infantry and walkers and .... oh wait, that's Battlefront.
NPC SRVs which try and shoot down all CQC participants. Oooh, maybe a CQC mode where there are security forces chasing everyone trying to shut down the event. ...oh wait, is that Need for Speed, or Fast and Furious?
I think combined SRV/SHIP team matches trying to take over a base for example is a no brainer going forward.
So are SRV racetracks on low gravity asteroids...Super Mario Kart ED-style!
Loving these ideas. I've been wandering around the galaxy, looking for suitable planets to drive my SRV. Just wondering what those molten worlds will be like. Will my SRV melt? What happens if I drive in a lava field?

Not to be a party pooper, but we won't have access to volcanic worlds initially.
I know atmospheric worlds are out of the picture for season 2, but I'm still hopeful we'll get access to active volcanic worlds (both lava and ice) sometime during season 2.

I believe this is intended, although in my mind, probably something to do with my primary school teachings of volcanism helping to create the atmosphere on Earth; I feel that any planet with active volcanism would have an atmosphere.

Jupiters moon Io is the most volcanically active body in Sol but has very little atmosphere, like practically none, so I think it's probable there will lots of volcanic planets without atmosphere, especially the smaller ones.
Adding capital ship battles for cqc
I know it's fairly new, but I m a huge fan of dog fights and cqc is great alternative way to play pvp. It would be awesome if they were able to add large scale battles such as capital ship battle mode. Where two or more capital ship from different factions battle it out. With each factions having team of 4 or more people. The players will be randomly selected on each team at the start. Playing as the fighters trying to defending their capital ship from the other team and at the same time trying to destroy other teams capital ships or maybe even capturing other team capital ship. Like most pvp games the winning team will have to either destroy other team capital ship or do the most damage, before the timer ends. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed.
