OMG! You can make 20+Mil Cr per Hour, if you didn't realise.

Finally there's a point to doing smuggling missions. I've had more excitement doing these smuggling missions than I have playing the rest of the game for weeks.
RES farming becomes humdrum after a while and with the interdiction changes there's no point in doing PP anymore so this has injected a new element of fun into the game.

For those who say that you don't need loads of credits I guess for some people that's true. I know a guy who has been playing since beta, he has virtually no combat rank, he's a trailblazer in exploration and quite low on trade as well but he loves the game. He even goes home at lunchtime to play it. He enjoys his game just as much as I enjoy mine.

I have different priorities. Credits for me isn't a way of keeping score. I don't care how big your bank balance is, nor how you came by it and you shouldn't care about mine. This isn't a competitive game in that way.

I want the credits for the choices they give me. I have a Python kitted out for battle, an Anaconda trader, a Diamondback Explorer fully kitted but I didn't have anything suitable for these long range missions. The money stashed away in the bank allowed me to buy and fully kit out an Asp on a whim. If I'd had to save up for a week I probably wouldn't have bothered heading over to Sothis but I had the resources to choose to take part immediately so I did and I've had a whale of a time. I've lost one Asp to an Elite Cobra and topped up my bank account. A few more evenings and my Conda will get some nice trinkets.
Does that affect your game? No, I don't think it does so please stop demanding that this be nerfed.

i don't know. I just really feel FD is hurting their game by making progression meaningless. i really DO think some people will move on from the game faster if they've got every single fully kitted ship within a month. I know i would. I suppose people who do feel like me about this would NOT participate in those missions but a new player might not want to miss this opportunity and suddenly find themselves after a month bored and with no motivation left to do anything since they are drowning in ships and cash. *shrug*

Progression isn't meanlingless, it's just not defined by Frontier. It's defined by you. If your idea of end game is every ship A-fitted, then so be it. To others, it's being triple elite. To some explorers it isn't ship at all but instead visiting every known anomaly - or even unknown - in the galaxy. It really is just whatever you want it to be.

This is exactly right, and why so many suffer such consternation with the sim. It's all about you, and how interesting and interested you are in making your way in the galaxy. Its less gameplay foisted upon you by FD and more simliving in a galactic playground offered by FD.

Well, they "fix" it? Cause i don't see 1M+ missions anymore.

They're still appearing, but it's taken me about three times as long to fill up on missions tonight. Reducing their frequency by 66% might be a quick and elegant solution, whether they've actually done that or not.

The open universe is currently very empty, apart from Sothis. You can't jump to 100 million + per day withouth messing up the balance of this game.
Latest traffic report, for what it's worth.

And of all those hundreds and hundreds of pilots, I was regularily seeing just a few at any given time. I know - p2p issues, instance limitations, solo mode, etc etc; still feels somehow... wrong.

Have been trading a lot since the game launch , sometimes i met some people in Open, but is very difficult.
Most of the people are around the well know rare trade runs and CG, but many people quit already.
Let see what will happen with horizon...

People keep harping on about progressing too fast ruining the game experience. Firstly there is no end game . Getting to Elite is just a personal goal for some , others couldnt care less about it. Getting a big ship meens bigger bills, bigger profits, bigger battles with bigger ships. So what , again meeningless.

What is important is playing the game as YOU. Playing the game with no particular goals but just expieriencing whats there. I could have 20 billion in the bank but it wouldnt change anything for me. I would still want to achieve my own personal goals of finding the best trade route, a nebula I'd never seen, maybe tipping the ballance of power somewhere, testing my flight technique with a new idea or, just being there and flying about . The challenge is in the experience . Bigger is not better, more is not better. Get your head round this and stuff like a mission that give a few bob wont matter any more to you.

I dont care about cash , rep , Elite status nothing like that at all. To me it is meeningless. So please drop the end game mentality it does not exist.

I've just woven this new found credit boost into the RP i dip in and out of for my character.... you win some, you lose some ....

Hmm, Sothis... been there, scanned the system, got my exploration data, no point for me to go back (unless they fire up another CG nearby).

Something seems a bit odd with this. I have done the Sothis run 3 times now, while having about 10 missions each run. I have ranked up with the federation from cadet through to chief petty officer.

Edit- I suppose I have been doing all charity missions available in Sothis but surely not that many.

Having posted the video that sparked this thread, I have only made one more run totalling 35mil for both trips.
How much wonga have you guys and gals been amassing?

I am finding 8-10mil hour for most runs - I am making 40mil/run but is takes a couple hours to amass the missions bouncing between Sothis and Ceos and another 2 hours to drop off.

I had 1 quick run at the 20mil/hr mark but they are rare.

I have kept a log of my credit gains.
Run 1) 1:45, 49 million = 24.5m per hr
Run 2) 2 hrs, 45 million = 22.5m per hr
Run 3) 2 hrs, 53 million = 26.5m per hr

1 Lost Python due to an error leaving the station and killing a T9.
Brand new bog standard anaconda is parked in Gende.
leveled from Cadet through to Chief petty officer.
87k of fines
10% of Pathfinder
Broker 78% through to Entrepeneur 65%
