OMG! You can make 20+Mil Cr per Hour, if you didn't realise.

Exactly. Also, a base Anaconda... really sucks. People seem to think you can just buy the 140m Anaconda and #gameover. Good luck with that.

A combat Anaconda will cost 500M. A fully kitted out Anaconda is $1b.

1.5's ships is bringing more ships.

A combat anaconda is really a "tankaconda." It is not great for really fun PvP, you will probably kill nothing but NPCs with a death wish, you need something that can move. This means you need a badass Anaconda... AND an FDL.

Come 1.5, then what? What about Horizons and planets? Do people really think that the Anaconda will remain the most expensive ship?

What about the 2,000 cargo space Panther Clipper? I suspect that's going to be quite $$$. What about the Fed Corvette?

Right now, "end game" money in ED is about 1-1.5 billion credits IMO. Then you have no more need for credits.

Come 1.5 and horizons, I am expecting 10b credit "endgame" for credits. This will likely continue.

I expect to eventually own an entire planet or station in this game. Sorry for anyone who thinks the end of ED is buying an Anaconda. Pfft.

I think ur right. Give us more money pls! Smuggling missions are underpaying!!!

The open universe is currently very empty, apart from Sothis. You can't jump to 100 million + per day withouth messing up the balance of this game.
Latest traffic report, for what it's worth.

I did 2 missions from Takurua for 2 1/2 mill and 1 for 1 1/2 mill yesterday and it was a breeze. Easy money

Don't tell that to nerfers. They seem to think that once you get a Conda nothing is left but to uninstall the game.
hmm i have two ED accounts and both of them have owned Anacondas for quite a while now, certainly long before this little smuggling scheme came up. so by their logic this has no interest to me or any other Anaconda owner, because the means has already reached the end(game)

it's quite the opposite, trying to custom-fit a suitable ship specifically for this event, and then building a stack, executing the missions, and yeah - this game's about making money as well as space flight, so that aspect's quite nice too... watching the total mount up.

nerf it, and i'll just go back to the RES again. i'm not interested in stacking a couple of 350k missions for a 400Ly journey. it was the *entire experience* that made it fun, not just the bits the nerfers want us to enjoy

Smuggling illegal cargo 200ly IS worth 5 mil credits. That's a long way and anyone who's done this can testify to the # of interdictions.

The problem is that all of the missions deliver to systems right next to eachother. Scatter the destinations out and the payoff is still there without the 20mil / hour.

Exactly the same here, mate. I've had an anaconda for 6 months and RES were my normal hunting ground. This has not only got me to try smuggling for the first time, got me out of the 'conda and into a small ship but it has also given me more fun than I have had in game for quite a while. Amazing really considering that the game should have ended for me once I bought that 'conda.

Lol no, the rest of the universe is not empty. Hyperbole much? Go look at the traffic reports in other main areas, such as some of the major powers HQ, they are still very busy.

The traffic log showing 3500 doesn't mean too much, hell 350 ships going back 10 times could give those figures, it certainly doesn't mean 3500 CMDRs have been there.

And also, what balance? It makes no difference if people have lots of credit, it is not like they can buy a load of 'condas and flood the market with cheap ships. The money I have makes no difference to any other player, outside of PVP, and even then it doesn't mean a great deal because as long as you have enough for SCBs your golden.

It's nice.
More people on Anaconda, more people to say ", we have nothing to do after, where is the gameplay"
And old fans say "It's RP!"

Personally I am earning up to do things in the game. By things I mean this. Pvp in a python, without worrying if I die, so I have enough credits for like 10 replacements if I want.
Powerplay hunting (just to try it). Bounty hunting on hard, like taking on a wing of 2 pythons and an FDL. These are things I want to do, and things I need a super ship for, and credits I need to insure when things go wrong. So simply 'getting' an anaconda, or 1.5bil ain't end game for me. It's now beginning :)

Also I find going back and forth smuggling FAR more easier to do than doing a two stop loop trade route. The time passes for quicker, its more fun, you get interdicted, and it gets hairy if a ship with superior firepower interdicts you, until you can spool up and run. amazing how fast your little asp can burn

I am loving these smuggling runs but it seems to me the amount of time given to complete them is what most needs balancing. If a BB mission is offering 5mil+ for a run there o0ught to be a very short time in which to complete it. Something along the lines of a pizza chain guaranteeing "30 minutes or it's free". That would stop people from hoarding 50mil creds worth of runs with delivery times that can be as long as 11 hours. "Here's 7mil to run these narcotics to (insert station name here) but it needs to be there yesterday".

Not sure about you guys but when i hit Trade Elite ima go to Founders World and buy all the Ships i want and have fun without having to worry about money anymore :p

FD fix the Frame shift thing, its cutting into my smuggling profits!

Who thought that one day frame shifting would be even more tedious than super cruise?

Decided yesterday to check what this Sothis mess is about, took my Asp and went there. Some random observations:

- The 5+ million narcotics and slaves smuggling missions from the Sothis outpost are relatively rare, most of the board is filled with 20-200 k cred spam going to Ceos. You'll have to sit for a hour or two switching between Open ans Solo to get a few of those "broken" missions going.

- And then, when you set on the way back, the real fun starts...

Spam of "I have another offer" NPC that can just be ignored. In every system. There are also scripted "system authority vessels" that spawn on you in unxeplored and unpopulated brown dwarf systems, etc. and scan you, surprisingly not finding anything illegal because the place is an empty anarchy. But they distract from the scripted "persistent interdiction" NPCs, and those are also almost in every system. I didn't run from them and by the end of the trek successfully blasted about a dozen of Eagles, Vipers and Adders into oblivion. But then the real stuff started. Two or three jumps off Vetta I get a persistent interdictor Asp and easily bring it to hull. The dying Asp then turns on me... and boosts into my face. Explodes. I'm in 42% hull.

Destination system: persistent interdictor Anaconda. Shields gone in two shots of the plasma accelerator or whatever it had. 25% hull. I managed to boost away and jump out, then back again so the Anaconda got lost. But then the game spawns a persistent interdictor Clipper on me, and I can't run from that thing. Thrusters malfunctioned. Toast. Down 680k insurance, all cargo and back to square one.

The second run with no cargo proceeds successfully. I then buy all the required stuff next dor to the target systems, kill a few more vipers and eagles and finally cash in all the missions. If they resetted them on ship destruction like bounties, i'd be down some 26 million, but as it is - op success.

Sothis is a silly place. Pity it'll most likely get "hotfixed" soon.

I don't mind, just wish that they fixed all the immersion-breaking game mechanics, such as pursuing NPCs hard-scripted into the mission regardless of context, etc., with it.

Be realistic though, 'spawning' npcs to pursue you has to happen, they have software to code. You can't have a persistent NPC to follow every play around.

no. It is only incredulity that refuses to see the two are connected.

Don't worry Alien, I know that Eme is wrong, at least for me. I do the smuggling missions but have never combat logged. I have lost my ship in battle twice to NPCs. Eme is making a baseless correlation without data.
