Since this update, I find it quite impossible to shake an interdict in my Asp. I used to be able to fight my way out of them if I tried hard, but now it's just not working at all, no matter who's doing it.
(This is with mouse and keyboard; I don't know if it's any easier with a flight stick.)

It's a shame, because it's gone from being an interesting game mechanic to "submit to interdiction and boost away on max engines while charging up the FSD up again" every time. Trying to fight it just means damaging the ship and waiting longer to jump when the interdict inevitably wins.
 
OK - time to start looking for a new game to play. Clear to me that ED on a long slow road to hades. This will now be the 2nd weekend I can't play due to 1.4. Guess they have given up patching the crap that they broke. Sure glad I did not pre-pay for Horizons. Very sad I recently bought a 2nd copy of the game so I could explore or trade depending on how I felt that day. Right know both copies of the game not playable due to the bugs.

Maybe new business model - try to get more folks to buy the game than decide to quit. Keeps the server costs level and buys groceries for the Dev's for another dis-Improvement cycle.
 
Pulse lasers seem to waste a lot more energy, is this a bug or intentional?

I don't like how FD forces us to review our combat loadout by changing the rules of the game arbitrarily.

Can anyone explain what are the NEW SOUND(S) when I am in the extraction sites and there are several miners for example... it is hard to describe but it is high frequency squeak - ''tssssuii" and then "fplack"????? They are very annoying btw.
The second sound is similar to incoming message in VK (Vkontakte).

It's normally a loose dashboard valance.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't a 1.4.01, yet. Holding back for a big drop?

Yeah, remember they are bug-fixing on (three) platforms...,I'm sure they want to release the fixes on all platforms at the same time.

Now it's clear! These are the sounds of limpets of other NPCs collecting ore and taking it back to ship!

The next question: Why am I have to hear these sounds so clear like it is me mining???? Can anyone confirm the sounds? (The loud sounds of other NPC's limpets collecting ore in the area)
 
Remove the CQC rating from the Elite ratings panel in open play. I'm an explorer and the CQC update crippled the game for explorers like me for over a week, not that CQC players minded in the least bit. But I'm not interested in CQC, nor in the sort of dogs who go for that sort of thing. What a complete waste of development time. FD could have been working on a proper update. Neither am I interested in being rated 'HELPLESS' every time there is an update. Get it off my Elite rating. NOW.

Personally, I rarely play with any sound, but you can fiddle with the sound in audio options.

Now I've never even played CQC yet. But please, please Frontier never remove the 'Helpless' rating. Mainly just because of this guy. That would amuse me no end.
 
As an explorer... When someone snipes your greatest exploration achievement after you have been out for 9 months (and counting) CQC is a good way to blow off some steam...

Is anyone going to fix the bug showing i need to use 10 CR to repair all?
It was in the beta version so i ignored it, but its still in the game.
No repairs are made when i select it, and no credits used.
Bit anoying.

Also while im at it, before 1.4, i launched by useing the upwards thrusters to gain height, and at the same time i presses to retract the landing gear. Since 1.4, when i retrace the gear, the thrusters stop while the key is pressed.

Both are anoying but not a game changer, but could do with being looked at.

Anyone else finding the hyperspace jumps between different systems is taking forever?

There's a thread on the bugs forum for this - please add your comment to it. Apparently FD introduced a server side fix on Friday to help some players who were experiencing long hyperspace jump delays. They said that the people having problems have reported that this helped them. However it seems like it introduced the same issue to lots of other players who hadn't had any issue before.

Mine got better after the fix but today it has just got longer and longer, several minutes at the moment :(

Well it was happening to me long time ago , it happening to me today again, it was happening in random order, like one hour terrible delay when jumping out of hyperspace. Often it happens when client is ordered to communicate with different instance than it is current one, and often that is case when u jumping. Delay happen just bec. you can not establish connection to another server/instance when exiting from hyperjump. Why it happen now and than but not constantly , nor every day , do not know, probably it have some connection with how busy servers are. Or you jump in to empty system with no players in SC , than you have to create new instance for yourself only when exiting hyperspace and it fails , fails, fails and so on till it success. That is your delay. All such delay have more connection to quality of your connection to the internet than with ED servers. You know it is p2p game , so you just informing ED server about new instance you created or asking server about what instance you goin to join when exiting Hyper Jump. If connection with server can not happen , or it is bad or it fails for some time till success , you getting delay. If it fails totally you going to be disconnected. I got all above from my own problems , but I use different Internet service providers from more than few location , and the worst one is this one from where I typing this. Often here a lot of delays when exiting from jump, and causally disconnected from time to time. While at my home, different ISP and almost never delays. At my weekend house 3rd ISP which sometimes yes getting delays , sometimes yes for disconnect but majority of time it working good.

My conclusion is most of time it happening because of your connection even when you think it working perfectly with other services it can be problematic when it comes to work with ED servers.
But still there is high possibilities that is can happen bec. ED servers are to busy.
