Smuggling missions now pointless.

fixed that for you. getting tired of all these "you need to play Elite this way" People play for whatever reason "they" want to play it. They paid just as much money as you did maybe even more if the one of the original backers. I'm sat in a Cobra I bought 5 months ago so money isn't my motivation in the game but for some people it is and they have just as much a right to voice that as you do against it.

And yet you manage to mention, "being paid only quarter of"... Such, hypocricy or whatnot - first claim credits isn't the driving measure, and then contradicting it with such statement... GG.

I personally have used Asp most. #1) I like it. #2) see #1. But rising a hulabaloo about "boohoo my smuggling route got ruined" is all about credits, to the boot, however much you try say otherwise.

again read my post , that was mentioned because the missions themselves became comparable to the grinding of sites if not slightly better so it was a decent alternative to the mindless grind something different , something that a lot of people say was fun which it was for me. Now I'm left with move this cargo to this station no police to fine me or interdiction to avoid, no speeding into the station trying to avoid the scan, they are gone completely for now (from all the BB checking I;ve done for the last 44 hours) so I'm left to either grind sites again or deliver cargo.

If you watch obsidian ant video you can still make around 6 to 7 million credits an hour just by stacking missions. That is still good amount of money... It make perfect sense for them to nerf the mission. Make the big payouts of 4 to 6 mill rare and 1 mill to 500k range pretty common.

Yes and as I've been called in this thread so far, "whiner, whiners, instant-gratification nub" which is just the other side of the coin.
Which is perfectly fine by you, by the standards set in the OP, right?

Honestly, I didn' expect you to defend it but rather hoped you'd distance yourself from a sentiment written in a bit of a rush of blood. Oh well. Can't win em all :)

That was pointing out that in all the MMO's I've played you always get a small minority of vocal forum posters who are always complaining about something. I'm possibly one of them without even realising it but from what I can see on the forums I'm not.
You're not. You're not always complaining about something. No one is. It's a characterization designed to feel superior to those 'always complaining about something'. In this thread you do have a complaint, you're voicing it, which is a right you have, as we agreed, but needs to be extended to those we disagree with.

Why didn't you state that in the first place in the OP - clearly, without space to misinterpret.

In that accord, I do agree with you.

:) fair point but I imagine you've never been on WOT forum. Anyway I think everyone's point has been made whether they agree or disagree so I'm off to minority complain about somthing else :p

I don't even know what a WOT forum is :)

Inhabit that for a few days or the EVE online forums and you will see where my argument comes from. A never ending circle-jerk of people complaining about stuff to get it nerfed so that everyone jumps on the next best thing and they all appear again to get it nerfed and the circle continues. Everything ends up all the same and bland(rightly or wrongly)

They're still there :)
I'm a Tycoon trader and haven't seen any smuggling missions for a day, until 5 minutes ago. Got this one at Almagest.

I think it would be a terrible idea to base the gameplay around sitting around waiting to 'stack' missions. The game should encourage you to play it and shouldn't be balanced around people sitting on their thumbs logging in and out of modes.

Instead, they should sort out the ability to stack missions quickly (which is what they started by making them rarer) and nullify the benefit of mode switching. This way people are playing the game, rather than playing the menu.

People sit in station for rare good. Isn't much of a difference. The switch modes part well thats a matter of choice I guess. You can find a remote system that has a station on the rim of populated space where there are easily 6 to 7 mission that do those decent pay outs.

I try to distance myself from the EVE forums for the sake of personal sanity....
Who needs EVE Online when you have the EVE forums.

So they're still there like the Dev said, shocking! :)

I think until we see what they're going to do with the missions when they 'look at them' them as Sandro said, its rather pointless moaning about the as is, because we know its going to change.

Then the moaning can commence.

You misunderstand - that it exists, does not mean the game should be balanced around it nor should it be encouraged. Sitting around doing nothing is not how anyone should be wanting the game to be designed around.

If we want to sit around doing nothing, we can do that without buying a game.

So basically, to make the same amount of money I was doing from my previous Sothis travels (29 millions on the last one) now I will have to sit there switching modes for an hour.

And you call this a fix... Good job.

Well, looks like I need a rest from this game. I'll be coming back eventually...

So you're say that we need a way so that the mission come faster with the minimal amount of waiting but not to fast that its not overbalance and not to slow so that we are not waiting for too long. The way i see it is that the game isn't really design around just sitting and waiting you still have the option to go to other stations that do have missions. So the game gives you that choice of going out there and finding them or you could sit around and wait for it to spawn.

I would expect you'll come back to the bounty board having a timer on its list per player that prevents it refreshing. Session swapping to cheat the RNG probably won't last a lot longer.

Just in reply to the whine about "oh boohoo I can't make quadrillion per second". Get a life.

More hyberbole and then finish up with 'get a life'. You do nothng but tell other people what this game is supposed to be and how they should play it and when you're called out you respond like that. I'm gonna assume your a child and leave you to it because that's what you sound like.

and I'm still waiting for you to explain what '150% adrenaline' is. Babble.
