Worthless but beautiful exploration data. Strange and rare Anomalies.

Many of us venture out into the Unknown, seeking that one moment of glory, that great jewel as an explorer,

I'm sure most of other explorers have had similar experiences. Rewards for exploring and increase of explorer rank are well known , everything has its price and almost dictates how you evolve.
and some day you get there. Some prize finds you will have no doubt, but did many really make it that Supreme discovery moment?

then other times you had thought this jewel of a discovery surely was the one to find a glowing blue jewel of a planet was no more than a pretty metal and certainly no earth.
... or maybe some so complex planetary system with odd peculiar orbits , captured planets out of orbit , or a unexplained setup of a system.

We all have had those moments, they dont pay well but surely stoke you're interest. Just wondered what you've all found out there. Who can find the oddest setup or anomalies.

I'm sure many can do better than this starter. i know i've found far more curious stuff before but just thought of this thread after seeing ,
well its a Binary Trinary sun setup. or binary and singular sun in orbit in a duplicate binary of itself.. frek knows.

just makes me go oh.. gonna take five mins out to appreciate the beauty.

Super! A binary trinary...

Yes, I agree, it's little things like this that I actually explore for...although credits at the end are important too.

Was it possible to take a pic with all six suns together (and your ship) or were they too far apart?

Some of these places will be incredible once horizons is here, here's a older pic nice sunrise just can't remember where it was.

I was scouting for moons to land on 3 weeks ago.planet was a viable landing.maybe if I check logs and Galmap might narrow down possibilities

This is a new one for me, an S-Type star.

Note the solar mass in comparison to solar diameter...I came out 142 Ls away from it.

Edit: Found the next star in the Carbon cycle...now if I could just find a Carbon, it's eluded me so far.

The nebula NGC 7882 is also a remarkable anomaly in my opinion. You start seeing it from hundreds of lightyears away as a string of white light in the distance, and when you get closer, you start noticing that it is a nebula filled with bright, blue-white stars grouped to a band-shaped cluster:

And it is just full of multiple star systems, most of them also with black holes.

Not that I want to rain on your parade, but are you sure that green gas giant isn't a graphical glitch?

Some nice multi-star shots, a double identical water world system, a ring system I'd like to eat and most beautiful of all, Space Lust, my exploration carriage.

Super green! /fifthelement

I have found a green'ish gas giant... and I can't remember if I took a pic or not... it was early in my career as an explorer. I'll have to check when I get home, but I know it was nowhere near this, great find!

I found this several months ago, unfortunately I can't remember where it was.
This is the only green gas giant I've ever seen:
