Canada election: Seven things Justin Trudeau believes in

He could end Canada's air campaign against IS
He could bolster Canada's relationship with the US
He wants to welcome more Syrian refugees
He has promised decisive action on climate change
He has promised to legalise marijuana
He will investigate the deaths of Aboriginal women
He will aim to smooth relations with Iran

And to begin his list:

Canada to withdraw fighter jets from Syria and Iraq strikes

Canadian Prime Minister-designate Justin Trudeau has confirmed he will withdraw Canadian fighter jets from the air strikes against Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria.

Legalization of marijuana, should have been his first measure

:D

Within the context of Canada, that is a rather obvious measure. But seriously, the other proposals would seem to be a lot more profound and far reaching.

Once wonders if this guy will do what Jeremy Corbyn has, and bit by bit, abandon each in favour of winning powerful friends?

A decisive action on climate change, seems to me the most important

Selecting a couple of issues to placate thus avoiding dealing with the more difficult ones. I'm under the impression you are a resident of France, (if I'm wrong I do apologise), but your two priorities for example, will probably be shared with many others. Yet in the scheme of things are probably not the most important, yet are both, potentially, the most expensive and problematic.

Remember, these are just the press' selection. In addition he has the country to run, which includes the position of Canada's welfare system plus the economy, law and order, infrastructure and so on.

Yes in France. And I live at the foot of the mountains. This explains my preference for the environment

I've worked and lived for a while in the French Alps. Very nice it is too.

Anyway. This guy has promised big. It remains to be seen how much he can deliver or is prepared to continue supporting.
