Was a good hours worth of only a brief preview. Wondered what happens to the ship when its 'sent away' - is it still 'in game' and open to attack when your down on the planet in the SRV

It is a great achievement there frontier. But. Sorry there is a but. It's the same as the galaxy you've created a great honestly great achievement but it's just a bit empty and samey. I just can't see the novelty lasting more than a few hours. Sorry saying it as I see it and I'm sure like exploration on the bigger scale there'll be lots of people who get a huge kick out of this. Good luck to em.

I do have a question: what kind of performance can I expect with an AMD Phenom II X4 940 with 3GHz, a GeForce 560 Ti 1GB and 6GB RAM? I'm guessing it will be more demanding than flying around in space with the current planet models, but how much so?

Ship enters a low orbit supercruise of the planet. It cant be found/damaged when this happens.

They've not shown any game play yet, so you'e perhaps being a little premature?

Don't blame you...it's a smart move...but this slow reveal is gonna be the death of me!! :D

hope to see other planet types soon. Also bases etc.

I get the point made by Jezzah, but I like the emptiness, it gives it a sense of realism and depth.

I've driven over a thousand miles across the sahara, there wasn't alot there either, it was still freaking awesome.

Does the SRV get dropped out of the ship, how do you get back in when the ship on the surface (no ramp etc)?

Impressive :)

Pity Valles Marineris is under 7km of water. Would have loved to have driven through it, or better still - fly through it in a Viper!

The quest will be on to find the most challenging terrain and create a 34th century version of the Dakar Rally :cool:
