The only thing I don't like so far is the name.

They wanted to use the word 'dangerous' because of the effect it can/will have on players not only in game but also out of the game.
If you play it too much then there is a danger that your RL will collapse...
Not sure they wanted to imply 'deadly' unless they are planning to hire some RL assassins...
You foresee no problem with Elite: Carebear Griefers, then?
Surely, playing on the previous titles and because this is the last ever Elite, the title has got to be:
ELITE-THE FINAL FRONTIER
ELITE-THE FINAL FRONTIER
Possible copyright infringements, there, but Elite: Frontier would have been cool.
ELITE: DESTINY because you choose your own destiny, career, place in the galaxy, yada yada yada.

I'm thinking: "Elite: Rebirth"I quite like 'phoenix' although its also pretty non descriptive, I've always just enjoyed the word
Other subtitles spring to mind would be 'awakening', 'reborn'

I was hoping the name would grow on me but it hasn't.
When I tell people about the game they are interested in a positive way until I mention the name and then the response goes a bit.... sceptical. I have taken to calling it "That game I am interested in" when I continue to talk to people about it.
The name looks good on a video trailer or website, or logo but as soon as you say it.....
Well my sense of style is often different from other peoples so I hope I am in the minority with my impression of this, because I am sure the game itself will be groundbreaking and amazing.
I agree that just calling it Elite would have been the best thing, and *just would have worked* This is Elite.

What a strange name for the game
Im impressed with the game so far..
But.. what a strange name is has ...
ELITE DANGEROUS ...
DANGEROUS is a rank in the game and afaik not the highest lol ...
So why name the game something with 2 of the ranks in it ...
By the look of the huge size of things... IMHO it better had a name like
ELITE UNIVERSE or something like it ...
Am i the only one wondering about the name.....
But this is just my 2 Credits..
