Will we see the Worm ship in E.D?

I remember this ship from Elite on the Pc. It had no bounty, it was a hunter. And had 2 missiles. It was irritating.



Because you didnt get anything of it. No cargo and no creds.

Maybe have it as a fighter type ship that can be launched from bigger capital ships or function as patrols around stations/shipyards.

That would be quite handy as a deployable 'automatic wingman' if you were under attack.

There's no way that ship be in Elite Dangerous, since it could not handle the awesome polygon count and sleek texturing on it.

Actually, it would be interesting to have an option to buy a fighter ship that can help in a battle. It should cost a lot of money and take a lot of place in the cargo bay, but it should be really helpful in a battle(especially against several ships for those who prefer to play alone/have a transport ship)

Yeah I agree. Now Frontier has a chance to use the Worm as a fighter/assistance craft as it was meant to be. Maybe suitable for larger corporation ships as a defensive craft or a craft you can launch yourself from an Anaconda or Boa.

I'd love to have a freighter with a deployable fighter (that you fly yourself while your base ship is idling).

Otherwise, I think you can hire NPCs as wingmen / escorts.

Perhaps as a drone which has basic combat programs. And when exploring you could do the empire thingy drop into a system and send your little worms out to map the system and report back to you........depending on hoe they are kitted out, combat offence, defence explore depends on costs............
