Powerplay Arissa's Benefits

Hello commanders!

A quick update concerning Arissa's power benefits.

It's looking like some of Arrisa's powerplay bounty benefits are getting applied twice (the ratings benefits), when a bounty claim voucher is obtained and when it is cashed in. We have a fix lined up for this.

We will also remove Arissa's benefit from conflict zones - she was always meant to incentivise law rather than war.

Not sure when we'll be able to push these fixes out - we'll try for as soon as possible, which is why I'm mentioning this now, in case it's safe enough for the fixes to go live in days rather than weeks.

I assume this will apply to Hudson and Antal as well, the bonuses probably use the same code.

Speaking of which: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=197539

Could you please postpone the CG of Cayutorme until said changes are pushed through? It's crucial to provide an even ground in what is a CG that involves two sides of interests.

Hello Commander Ben Ryder!

This is a different issue that I believe runs through different bits of the code.

I suspect it's not as low hanging in fruit/code terms.

The aim is definitely still to fix it, I'm not sure when it's going to happen.

Hello Commander Brimstone!

Sorry, but this benefit was not meant to be. Arissa offers significant rewards for bounty hunting - she doesn't need, or support conflict zone incentives.

Hello Commander HeavyGroovez!

Hudson *should* be working the same as Arissa.

We'll check to see if he's suffering the same issues, and if so, make the same changes.

There's an argument to be made that Hudson is more hawkish than Arissa and so should be all over wars and the like, but any change to his benefits will come once we know he's on the same footing as Arissa, which will likely mean stopping combat bond benefits for him as well, in the short term.

Thanks a lot for the update, Sandro. I for one absolutely support this fix. I'd rather have individual leaders with individual personalities and characteristics with corresponding mechanics working as intended than some bug that unintentionally nets some more credits for some specific power supporters.

I can already see the "don't nerf my credizzz!" crowd beginning to rage, but I think this is a very good move! :)

I wonder if Arissa's pledge numbers will go down or stay the same (okay, or will they go up)? If they go down, will another faction leader's numbers go up (ship jumpers to the next best benefit) or will it be due to players leaving PP completely? Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Well one might argue that there is an argument to be made that Mahon should be compatible with all government types, as opposed to just corporate as he is the only Alliance power, and the Alliance is about trade and defence co-operatives and does not tell anyone how to run their systems.

Hint :)

Seeing the bounty bonuses finally being fixes is good, if only because Arissa's playerbase will be crippled. With the 20% passive bonus, Arissa still has more incentive to join than Hudson or Antal, who both also have 400% bounty claims, compared to Arissa's 420% (I think it's 429. Heh). To have our (Hudson's) combat bonds removed is not like Hudson - I think a smaller bonus to bounties, like a max of 50-60% but still have full combat bond bonuses would be fair, while Arissa can have her 120% to bounties (Rank 5 100% plus passive 20%) and Antal can have maybe 200%. Give people a reason to join him. All I really want is for Hudson to not lose his combat bond bonus, because it makes sense for a very militaristic person like him give a bonus for wars, rather than security.

Edit: Maybe lower Hudson's bonus on bounties to whatever. Keep something, maybe just 20%. It doesn't have to be as high as 50%-60%, it may be a little unbalanced that way.

So very, very glad the complete nonsense and mismanaged garbage that is PP was avoidable from the outset.
Vindicated once more. Well Done FD!
