No ETA right now. I'm basically just fooling around with colors now. ^^

Out of curiosity what setting(s) would allow me to turn down the brightness of the galaxy?... It's the only thing that bugs me a little, I have gone through all the ReShade settings with no joy. I had noticed you tweaked the GraphicsConfiguration.xml in certain areas so I assume this is where I need to be looking... Anyway, I cant seem to figure out for the life of me what you did. Would love a few hints

You mean the galaxy core brightness?

Search for:
<MilkywayInstancesBrightness>0.04</MilkywayInstancesBrightness>
in GraphicsConfiguration.xml
and change it to something like:
<MilkywayInstancesBrightness>0.01</MilkywayInstancesBrightness>

Thank you. I will let you know how I got on.
These are my galaxy settings from the screenshots I posted earlier. Feel free to try them out:
Code:
    <GalaxyMap>
        <High>
            <LocalisationName>$QUALITY_HIGH;</LocalisationName>
            <NebulasCount>30</NebulasCount>
            <NebulasInBackgroundCount>40</NebulasInBackgroundCount>
            <LowResNebulasCount>24</LowResNebulasCount>
            <HighResNebulasCount>2</HighResNebulasCount>
            <LowResNebulaDimensions>64</LowResNebulaDimensions>
            <HighResNebulaDimensions>256</HighResNebulaDimensions>
            <LowResSamplesCount>35</LowResSamplesCount>
            <HighResSamplesCount>138</HighResSamplesCount>
            <MilkyWayInstancesCount>22000</MilkyWayInstancesCount>
            <LocalDustBrightness>-0.13</LocalDustBrightness>
            <MilkywayInstancesBrightness>0</MilkywayInstancesBrightness>
            <MilkywayInstancesSize>2.5</MilkywayInstancesSize>
            <MilkyWayInstancesOffscreenRTEnabled>false</MilkyWayInstancesOffscreenRTEnabled>
            <StarInstanceCount>4000</StarInstanceCount>
        </High>
    </GalaxyMap>

Really nice. I like the blue HUD and I love how the stars look when scooping. They actually make scooping more interesting because the edges are less defined and you can't judge distance as easily so it's a bit harder to know how close you are (eek!). The flares, CMEs etc and general fluffiness of the stars look great! Can't wait to get into some rings... might go and find some now actually because that screenshot of the ice rings looks mega.

I'm on Windows 10 too. At first I got the "ED has closed" error (or something like that) so I re-validated the game files and they cleared out some older version of ReShade I had installed, unzipped the rar file again and it worked perfectly.

Cheers Insomnia, my ship feels new now :)

Would be nuce to know which settings are responsible for that blue touch? Im using EDFX/Reshade. There is a red tinge in the main menu the font but overall it looks good.

Nah man, violet's the way to go for spaceyness, Ah tell ya. Could't be chang'd?

Bloom is mostly to blame for the blues. But there are effects that increases the instensities of the blues as well, such as LIFTGAMMAGAIN and VIBRANCE.

The Coriolis mix of colour on the lights is interesting. I quite like it.
The default is just one colour isn't it?
The second is really nice.

Thanks for feedback guys! :)

The upper pic is from the training mission as I'm out exploring in main game. The training missions are but the only references of stations and stuff.
