I have to say, I was really impressed by the Rift at the Bafta event. The resolution needs to improve for the on-screen text, but other than that - if Crystal Cove does all they say it can do - Rift will be a definite purchase for me when it hits retail.

Although, DB hinted at lots of other Rift-like devices coming to market and Frontier are apparently planning to support them all.

Looks interesting, but still requires a surface. One of the strengths of ED in Rift, is the ability to look over your shoulder - and even right behind you - and feel immersed in the world.

Great to see all the information that's come out of the Bafta's and I know our cup runneth over however I just wanted to ask.....where we expecting a new dev diary / next week, or am I confusing what I read a week or two ago with the newsletter that since come out?

Doesn't require a surface. It has VR mode and AR mode. Also has full head tracking.

I was wondering how the pledge level of name a station would look.

I like that it says "Zelada Docks". I wonder if the stations will always be "Docks" or if there is a procedural element there "Lave Station" I would love to discover something like "Robinhood Services"

Ah ha! Good question. David was referring to the fact that when a station is first 'born' you would only see a set of 'beams' and basic structures. Over time the panels and the shape of the station would come together.

^^ :D At this point I was grinning massively :D ^^
