News Sneak Peek - Illegal racing in an installation

Just thinking about how to organize an actual competitive race... I assume an observer in a ship will have to be overhead making sure everyone sticks to the assigned route (or hits all the waypoints)?

ok, does anyone else think the HUD really needs auto-color adjustments depending on the background? (not that its already anoying to have an orange hud against orange stars, or bright white ice-rings)

That ship flyover on the second lap was a nice touch. Was that NPC or human?

Either way, looks great. Can't wait to try it myself.

Looks great! Only problem I see so far is those skimmers don't seem to pose any threat at all. Looks like you can just ignore them...

Fantastic!

And sorry to be nitpicky, but I prefer the triangle in the middle of the sensor. Seeing the SRV schematic there brings about some sort of dissonance between that and everything else which is still triangles and squares. And we see our own SRV schematic anyway on the right, so there is no need to show it twice.

Post on reddit made me realise this (didn't notice this at first) - under the altimeter, there's a coordinate readout:

..hey.... wait a minute....

a desert planet....

...A DESERT PLANET ??? o_o

could this mean it has an ATMOSPHERE ?? :O

This is going to be so good. So many possibilities for planets, bases and SRVs.

Might just have to order that 980ti sooner rather than later now...

Question: Are the bases and star ports modular and built procedurally so we get some real variance in styles ans size ?
