News Sneak Peek - Europa from orbit

ALL THESE WORLDS
ARE YOURS EXCEPT
EUROPA
ATTEMPT NO
LANDING THERE

I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission, Dave...........

I certainly hope they add this for all nav targets and not just POIs on planets.

From around 10 seconds onwards, you can see Saturn is also obscured by Europa but then comes into view, and it too has the new broken-line indicator, so it looks good.

I wants to se more... My god..i can't wait. And i can't play the beta.. I will watch youtube and twitch all day long when the bete are up.

Yeah you're right, they do like a"you're going through the atmosphere/clouds " effect. But it doesn't look out of place. If ED is the same then I'll be happy.

It's just when I drop out of super cruise to a station, it takes like 10 seconds of a looped animation then the station jumps into view. I live with it and its not a big deal, but if it's like that on planet transition I fear it will urk me

10 seconds? for its more like 1.5 or 2

monday is beta

So at circa 0.56 the HUD shows a red rectangle, what's that precious?

im guessing it means that if you go in from that angle you crash and burn

Anyone notice the round settlement markings around the equator of Jupiter at about 45s? I don't see any moonlets on the SC scanner at that point. Either they are rendered on the HUD despite the moons being too far away to scan, or they are on Jupiter itself, and the settlement generator hasn't got the message that it shouldn't work on planets with atmosphere.

thats just showing jupiter the HUD marks all the planets

Is it a new feature that the HUD body indicators (the "parentheses" around planets/stations etc) are now dotted lines if the body is obscured? Nice feature if so, saves you ploughing into a planet/star while trying to reach something behind it.

nope thats always been there
