Why can't we search for minor factions locations, or can we?

I have done some searches and not found any threads... probably just me being rubbish at forum searching... so apologies if this has been covered.

Anyway, I have been supporting a minor faction in a small network of systems i call home for a few months and they are now quite frequently expanding in to other systems but when they do i have no idea what system it is into... I spend ages flying around all the systems fairly nearby trying to find out and normally do eventually but on one expansion i just could not and still don't know where they expanded into... seems ridiculous that you can't search all the systems any one faction has presence in or am i just missing something that should be obvious?

There is no way to search to search minor factions in game, why I don't know and yes there should be more options in game, especially if you are supporting them.

But you could try searching in here https://eddb.io/station using the faction box, trouble is not sure where that data comes from or how often it is populated.

Thanks, I just tried that but obviously it only shows stations controlled by them and not just systems they have presence in. I should be able to give you an idea of how often it updates though quite soon as we should be taking another station in the next day or two if this war goes our way

Ahhh, okay, of course it does. That's what I should of realised when mentioning how the data gets updated, can't see CMDRs manually updating all the factions every time they docked in systems.
