The military bases in reconnaissance/bombing missions in Frontier/FFE also had Thargoid ships "landed" in them.

Hudson's 'We may not fire the first shot, but we will fire the last' quote makes me laugh because the last shot in ED gets fired by the NPC ship while it's spinning out of control and about to explode.
