I know that generally explorers run shieldless and with D-rated everything except FSD in order to maximise jump range.
However, with the addition of planets, some of which with high Gravity, do you think it will be feasible on long stints away from home to ensure you have EITHER a small Bi-weave shield and/or A-rated Thrusters?
I wonder this because any little scratches or dings from awkward landings over the course of days of exploration would eventually add up to hull damage. That damage is currently only repairable within the bubble, as far as we know.
So do you some of you think you might be taking more heavy-duty thrusters or small shields to help with such things? It will likely be less of an issue once we're all used to it but I'm curious what you all think.
