Is it possible to map specific power settings?

Is it possible to map specific power setting to keys

E.g 4 pips Eng 2 pips WEP, then another for 2 pips ENG & 4 pips WEP ???

That was brought up a while back. Got no traction though. Would be nice to be able to set up power 'profiles' that can be assigned to a single click.

You can't do it in-game but can do it through macroing software. Voice Attack is commonly used with Elite: Dangerous to do this and various other activities.

+1. I have some of the number keys mapped to put 4 pips to sys/eng/wep as needed. I can either say "power weapons" or hit the number pad 3 key for example.

As others have said, Voice Attack can do it. I'm using KICS (free, search here on the forums) and there's presets already built in for the full range - for a few examples:

Balance Power: Everything even
Power to Engines: 4 pips to engines & 1 each in the others, can use same command for Sys or Weapons
Power to Weapons and Shields: 4 pips Weapons, 2 to Sys, Engines empty.

I'd say VA (so far) is the best bang-for-buck add on I've bought for ED.

I put this in the Gameplay Features request forum about 16 (ish) months ago. I think it's a smashing idea. I loved being able to do it in X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter.

I like to believe/hope it's on their "yep, that would be really nice to do once we get the mind-blowingly amazing new features done and working" list...

Thanks mate, yeah I think a lot of people grab what they want to complement their own setup. Its one of those things where its a very personalised thing on the button setups. Will show you how I did it at any rate, likewise ones like the auto-docking which I find handy.
