Was due to be off work all this week as it's my wedding anniversary, wife thought we were going somewhere, but said I had things to do, with a planned long gaming session thrown in :rolleyes:


But, I got called to London over the weekend for work and not back until Wednesday evening, so not able to play or try it, with limited internet access in hotel to view forum.

Is it as good as has been anticipated?

No one is truly in yet due to download times, most are having issues, there's a problem with the version that got put out. Devs are looking into it as we type... :D

I got on .. just bought a cobra mark 4 .. flew to a moon in V886 Centaur 3A and seamlessly went from supercruise to orbital flight, glide mode and then actually flying above the surface through a gigantic canyon .. I banked to the left and landed gently on the ground. This is when I realised I needed to buy an orbital hangar to deploy my SRV 😅I haven't grinned so much in years

It's freaky in a good way. The transition from orbital to super cruise is seamless. THe stress noises while flying about a planet are a bit worrying!

Additional info- still nothing after a hour or so.

My mates are on and one of them said that the station was rotating the wrong way... usually counter clockwise- easy docking.. not now.. the letterbox was rotating over itself- and in like a back flip- try docking in a type 9 now- O M F G!

It's very difficult to control the SRV using my joystick (Logitech 3D Pro). I think in general Horizons is going to be a steep learning curve!

P.S. - is there a manual anywhere?!

Landing on the surface is easy enough as long as its fairly flat, I did try coming in too fast and it was similar to when you hit the floor at the station.

Flying very close to the surface using boost is very nice, I wanted to try and interdict an npc to induce a surface fight, but I didnt see any come down to the surface.

I havent managed to find a vehicle hangar or SRV yet, just the planetary landing suite.
