A most depressing sight

After months of saving credits, I finally saved enough for a Python!! Woot!

The pilots seat, felt just the same as my ASP seat, the view out the canopy looked just the same as my asp. Even the control panels were the same!
Then I looked to my right and just stared at the empty co-pilot seat...................

Months of RL work to buy a ship:
That has more firepower, thereby making combat easier
Has a slower turning rate
Can't run from a fight (if needed)
And has a constant reminder that I'm playing this game alone

Anyone else feel this way?

I think it's pretty common for the first experience in a Python to be disappointing, especially if you bought it before able to afford high rated modules. It doesn't really shine in combat until you can upgrade the internals. Certainly better than an Asp though ;)

On the plus side, it's a great ship for trading or mining as well, so plenty of ways to make credits using it until you can afford better modules. Power plant, thrusters, and distributor have a huge effect on how enjoyable the ship is in combat.

Well let's face it - we are alone 99.9% of all times.

I guess that won't change until we get credible NPCs and characters all around us that we can interact with in multiple ways; Wingmen included.

I was lucky enough to read about the python changes before they happened and spent three weeks making the most of using the python before it happened.

The thing is, I knew it was over powered before the change. It was so agile, even my viper felt slow compared to it.

I still use it as my fighting ship. Once you've purchased all the best components for it the python is still a lovely ship to fly and it is still my favourite.

But you haven't been doing it with the Python for 60 hours. (I'm about 500 into my FA-off adventure, btw)

Basically, it turns like a bathtub. But it's brilliant.

As per Szyslak22: Have you A-rated it yet? It really makes a massive difference.

An A rated Python is the most useful and versatile ship in the game.

I can sit in a combat zone for ever, mine in it, Run missions in it, land with SRV's, all with the same loadout.

My comment's were more related to concept of how freaking big the galaxy is, how few players I see in-game, how little interaction there is between pilots, and that I can't ride co-pilot in a friends ship (yet...I hope....A vague recollection that this may happen someday)

Not so much about the Pythons specs & abilities

Ha! Try buying an Anaconda and seeing an empty seat on BOTH sides of you!
You soon get used to it ... There's an empty seat in an Asp too or hadn't you sussed that (yes there is)?

Just how much does one require to obtain total A rated modules for combat in the Python ...to bring that rain of endless destruction??

I appreciate my FAS but i miss the shield power i had with the vulture...and well..the python with the extra hardpoints would be pure fun i assume

Roughly 120 million.

About 150 million before weapons, armor, SCBs or utilities and not including discounts. See here.

Variations on the cockpits would be nice. I'm sure there were previous threads on this topic but cant find them at the moment. It would be a good upgrade for future improvements to the game.
Hopefully this will come in time.
Me?..I'd like to see some steampunk interiors:) old school:)
