I didn't hang around long enough to see it explode, but Civay/simulacrae may be able to answer that.

The UA did have its particle/distortion effects still.

If you think you are bad. Try playing with a keyboard at 9 fps or less.

That is what I had with my 5760 x 1080 three monitor setup. I had to roll it back to one monitor and 1920 x 1080, and even then only get around 30-35FPS in OC and 25-30FPS on planets. Everything on High and Ultra though with a GTX 660, so not as bad as it could have been. Hopefully they will optimize some things so we don't all have to go out and spend ridiculous sums of money on new graphics cards.

Have you tried putting the terrain slider all the way to the right in settings to see if it made a difference? It makes about a 2-5FPS difference for me.

The UA degraded when dropped by ship - but after being picked up by a SRV and dropped again - it did NOT degrade (stayed at 100%) which is why people could run over it and it not die.

Phased? Im not sure - it still had the distortion effect around it

but i think any additional content with impact to the storyline
will be stowed away until horizon-release, to
prevent spoiling it.

I was just reading through the info in the first post and I think it needs updating.

It mentions the station in Maia does not have a market, but after the CG the following services should be available:

Tier 1 - Unlocks the fuel services
Tier 2 - Unlocks the repairing services
Tier 3 - Unlocks the munition services
Tier 4 - Unlocks the contacts services
Tier 5 - Unlocks the Universal Cartographics service
Tier 6 - Unlocks the Commodities Market Services
Tier 7 - Unlocks the Black Market service

I havn't reached Maia yet in Horizons beta, so i cannot check if they are all available yet.

I was just in Maia last night. Those services are not available yet unfortunately. I was forced to scoop fuel from the star.

Heh that UA PL video is amazing!

It doesn't orientate to Merope when on a surface then.

Maybe it's possible to launch it into orbit on a low gravity world and see it then reorientate. =p

I think it's the mass of the SRV which on the scale of ships is nothing.

There's this old video in the 14t Hauler which dwarfs an SRV.

The description is interesting, linking it to alien large barnacles.

I have previously rambled some nonsense about the UAs 'mouth part' looking like a barnacle.

It's probably still nonsense, but the UA could very well be a link here.

Even better than finding the alloy would be to find a large barnacle

Is it OK for people who aren't planning on being full members of the Cannon to join your website? I am a member of a couple of other groups already and it's more appropriate for me to be an affiliate as it were rather then a full member, if that is even a meaningful distinction. I will of course bring biscuits .
