SRV throttle response

Hello good people of the Beta test. I want to mention the almost on/off throttle response....
Is it possible to tune so it's more like our ships for example? i.e. Gradule smoother control. At the moment it's more slow/fast for forward and reverse. And with the SRV wongling all over the show due to the accurate gravity conditions. A more graduated control over throttle would help enormously.
Anyone else finding this ?
I'm controlling the throttle from an X52pro.
Thanks Flimley.

Yeah right with you, I either find the throttle throws me forward and doesn't slow until I pull back or throw on the handbrake, but that only stops me until I take it off and off I go again back to the last speed. This is even worse I find when trying to park under you ship to dock. So far between server drop outs and trying to find a good setup I've yet to redock since Monday.

So I'd love the driving to be like, well you know driving. Not feeling like I got in a jury rigged dune buggy. Not had a chance to enjoy the rest of Horizons yet, but loving everything else.

I personally dont have a issue with this , i have bound it to a axis just like i use with the ship and
that seems to works fine , gives me fine control over the speed , but i have heard other people
complaining about it , mostly keyboard and mouse users.

btw i am using a cheap Logitech extreme 3d pro and use the little throttle flip switch as the axis.

After a while you start getting used to it but what I would like to see is a full stop control like our ships have. The only way to full stop is by decreasing your speed to 0 which can be tricky as it is easy to go reverse even if that's just -1 and hand brake doesn't do much since you start accelerating again once you release the break.

So please, please, please: full stop control.

Try increasing the dead zone for the throttle. I spent ages trying to line up to go back into the ship until I increased the dead zone for my sticks throttle.

Have you tied with Drive Assist On? It's off by default. I'm still finding the handling a little "quirky" and hard to quantify the problems but DAOn seems to handle much more predictably.
It's all a bit vague but with Drive Assist On if you 0% throttle you will brake to a stop (mostly) but with Drive assist Off you can coast (like in neutral) with 0% throttle and have to manually brake.

Quick update.......I have been experimenting with the settings and have found that if you create a dead spot (set slider half way) between throttle forward and throttle back it helps enormously.

Secondly, this may sound strange, but I find turning drive assist off the SLV tends to follow a straighter path and is easier to drive… strange but true.

Makes no sense but I got exactly the same results. Drive assist actually makes it worse, only tried on fairly low gravity planets though so maybe that makes a difference.

Did you try with both flight assist off and on (Yes it still called flight assist in under SRV)?
Flight assist on throttle stay's at level you set, with Flight assist off throttle only works when you push and hold.

No problem for a player of Mech Warrior Online, setup can be make to work the same but players with flash joysticks are going to have be be careful with settings.
