A World First occurred today:
Wednesday 2nd December 00:00 (GMT) is the first time, ever, since Steam launch that Elite
angerous 'concurrent players online' (on Steam) figure exceeded _both_ GTAV and DSII:SOTFS
All three games were released to Steam within two weeks of each other in April 2015, and for similar initial purchase prices.

Admittedly, this was almost entirely due to a server out(r)age that affected GTAV... but not E

...however, it's interesting to note that E
and GTAV 'concurrent players online' figures creep ever-closer.
GTAV originally boasted up to 40 times as many concurrent players online as E
or DSII
Today, that figure has dropped to a maximum of around 4 to 6 times as many concurrent players online.
Also:
All-time peaks for GTAV (360,761) and DSII (12,051) occurred just after release - way back in April 2015 - and have fallen ever since.
All-time peak for E
(18,039) occurred 3 days ago.
Not forgetting, of course, Steam figures don't represent all of the PC owners of E
out there...

In the race to prove true 'Evergreen' characteristics, DSII was out of the running a while back.
Questions:
1. How much longer before E
'concurrent players online' on Steam are regularly higher than GTAV?
2. Will Frontier release a brand new ship to all players to celebrate the date upon which 'concurrent players online' exceeds 25,681 - the number* of original Kickstarter Backers?
*A.K.A. 'The Magic Number'
Go on Frontier!
What better way to celebrate the undeniable Kickstarter success of E
?
DBOBE: "I get lots of emails saying 'can you do Elite' but you say well, if it's only a few hundred people..."
Looking very likely there's at least one million people, just one year in...
Right On CMDRs!
Ad Astra!
