Will the Cobra MK IV get a buff? Even a slight one?

Greetings, first let me wish you guys good luck and all the best with Elite, and the following expansions. My question is this, and to make a mention, I may be jumping on this bandwagon, but I do agree with them, are the stats and current modules of the Cobra MK IV going to be final? Because from the looks of it, it's speed is a lot lower than the MK III's and with the addition of another hard point, the capacitor is a bit under powered. Don't mind the jump range or other things. I am kinda disappointed, and I'm not the only one, in how the Cobra MK IV is shaping up to be. I honestly hope that you will give it a bit of a buff, otherwise, everyone is just gonna keep it in the hangar, or not even bother paying the for it, when the game launches.

Ok I'm confused.

Back before ED launched, I bought the 80+ pound options which supposedly gets me all future expansions.

I went to my dashboard in the store and I don't see Horizons beta listed. However I found the link to download the launcher in the CUSTOMER SUPPORT page, I installed and logged in to Horizons and it works fine.

So do I or don't I get Horizons when it is released?? Am I supposed to see it listed in my dashboard in the frontier store?

I would like to know as I have a lifetime pass , plus on the cobra front I notice that when I brought a bay for the SVA I could buy 2 of them (by why I cannot drive them both at the same time and space could have been used for cargo or equipment, I think there needs to be more flex in the internal holds so space is not empty

i think so. its just not released fully yet :p

If you bought into Elite back near the beginning and you are premium beta, or Kickstarter £90+, or you own one of the lifetime expansion passes or the equivalent lifetime pack that was on sale back then, it includes all of the Horizons and all beta tests, so if this is what you have, this explains why you can play the beta.

Also, if you bought in back than, your downloadable products probably still say something like "Elite Dangerous Beta" or the like, as that's what you actually bought at the time. It's within the launcher and the game that they control which products you have access to.

Unfortunately this can be a bit confusing, especially for those who might have dropped the game for a while and then come back months later to try out Horizons.

I'm the same as you, yes you get horizons, no you don't currently see it on the store.

My download has always been listed as the beta one. Whatever it's listed as it just seems to download the latest client, used it to update the current for horizons.

Ah ok that's somewhat clearer. I do realise that if I ran the launcher without going through Steam first, I see Horizons listed, whereas if I launched normally from Steam it's not there. Thanks for the replies!

As a lifetime pass holder, I can tell you that the Horizons Beta does not appear in your product list. However, if you download the latest launcher (Lifetime Pass download in store) you will have access to the Horizons Beta from that launcher.

You only see the Horizons Beta (my guess) if you bought the Beta for Horizons on it's own.

Yeah I have read lots of posts indicating that if you are using Steam, you might need to run the launcher manually from outside Steam otherwise you won't see Horizons.

What a good work FD have done here...step after step, the taste of my "frontier Elite II" on amiga 1200 is recall from the past.

I went to start up Horizons Beta today but it instead of play, an "upgrade" button appeared. Anyone know whats up with that????? some answers would be appreciated.

It's a Beta. They are updating it regularly as they address bugs/optimizations. It's usually a small update. Yesterday at 3UTC the Beta 3 was released.

I think his point is that it normally reads "Update" instead of "Upgrade". I think he's correct that the word which came up was "Upgrade" for this release.
