Horizons Beta 3 - SC judder back? (Nvidia)

I don't know if it's just me but the SC judder appeared to have gone in Horizons Beta 2 but seems to be back with Beta 3. Most of Beta 2 I spend planet side though (and didn't try 1.5 beta). It's the usual thing where after 20 seconds of SC you get the judder when turning your head... Anyone else noticed this?

Tried it out tonight and yes it's back, only running at Medium settings anyway for Horizons, even dropping it to Low didn't make an difference.

Seems to be the same issue as the current live build, once more than a couple of ships spawn the judder kicks in.

Same here, behaves similar to 1.4. Didn't have any SC stutter in 1.5 ships beta.

Solo or open doesn't make any difference to me graphics wise.

There goes my plans for the weekend! I doubt we'll see another patch until Monday at least now, I hope to be proven wrong...

Issue happens for me with gtx980 (SLI disabled because it makes too much latency for my liking), windows 8.1.

This makes me wonder whether they deliberately fixed this for 1.5 beta or whether it was just a side effect of another change that sorted it.

Yup, back for me on GTX970.

Im also getting horrific fps in Glide, but I need need to tweak some settings still me thinks.

Hi guys. I've just tried again and still have no issues at all with more or less my standard settings. Only new thing in horizons is I need shadows one notch lower to get things perfect in stations and nearly-perfect on surface. No issues in sc all.

Has everyone tried setting to low and then tweaking back up? Apparently 3.1 defaults everything to ultra. Tried playing only in solo? I guess probably yes, we've all been doing this a while now! It's a bit mystifying.

Everything was running smooth for me in ultra before the last update. Now SC stutter is back, I've managed to get planetary flight relatively smooth again by resetting my Nvidia inspector settings. Something in the last update definitely screwed things up

Very obviously something wrong for most people - just hoping there might be a workaround for those affected. Touch wood it gets fixed in the next release anyway.

I might give open a try later and see what that's like. Ive never been fully stutter free in sc in open in any release.

OMG, thanks to this thread I´m not commiting suicide hahahhaa. A friend gave me a DK2 for the weekend, I never tried Oculus before on ED, so I decided to start with planetary landing this friday, but judder was there.... I was afraid my 970 was not enough to move it on a DK2 but reading you calm me a lot. Thanks to all, and lets wait for a new update. Hope I can test the DK2 on those planets. :D

It's a struggle on planets and in various areas even without sc judder, no doubt about it. But you should be fine eventually with some setting tweaking :).
