[Video] Combat in a Cobra

Evening all.

In this video I test out a 4 laser load out on my Cobra in the factions scenario.

I show the lasers over heat way too quickly so will be chaging my set up, but also how devastating 4 lasers can be.

The combat is not my proudest moment but it does demonstrate how exciting combat can be!

Nice, I noticed everyone has that weird crab launch style

Are you shooting at humans in that vid, or are they AI?

What difference is there between this and the sidewinder?

I think it is all AI in this video, but the cobra makes mince meat of player controlled side winders as well.

The Cobra is much bigger and heavy and harder to control, but as you can see can be fitted with more weapons ;p

When you're put back on the pad you're immediately in free flight, using thrusters to push up and clear of the pad before trying to use main thrusters is the best way of not banging your ship up. I have my finger on up-thrust as soon as I elect to launch, you tend not to crab too much when you do that.

Ah right, I see :)

It seems hard to tell you are being hit at, I don't if that's just me, like your screen was cracked but I didn't really notice you getting shot that much.

I'm a bit worried about these homing lasers too. Is their a disadvantage to the aiming ones.
