i need to listen to a few vids etc but I reckon i will bite at this one.
Most of the problems with the DK1 seem to be fixed. I will only be using for racing games and ED so the not being able to look 180degs behind properly should not be an issue.
the price seems ok at $350. To those who have ordered already, what is the postage costs to the UK, and would it work out cheaper for a few to get together and do a bulk order (I am near cambrdige UK)

Occulus Rift Dev Kit 2 anyone?
$350 seems ok to me for it? (about £210)
I have held back from getting the dev kit 1, but with this new kit coming out in a couple of weeks is this the time to just get it ready for Beta?
Or wait for full commercial release?
Anybody got any opinions? I'm sorely tempted to put an order in for one.

Can you give reference for it? Haven't followed news, so it has escaped from me.

Be aware though that the price is ex-VAT. You would need to consider that & shipping cost if you are thinking of buying...
Sorely tempted with this... Just always a little cautious buying non commercial products, especially due to being out of date relatively quickly (possibly).
What were people's experiences with Dev Kit 1 in terms of Plug n play? Is it easy to set up or does the Dev Kit experience mean it takes some work to get going with?

Biggest no-brainer decision I've made this year. 1080p OR? Sold!
after a lot of deliberation, I've decided to wait. Really want to get my hands on this, but the final deciding factor for me was there is no upgrade path from Dev kit 1. No trade in allowance, no credits, nothing. This is understandable from their point of view and I'm not complaining... but I don't want to spend the cash now and have to spend it again when the next greatest improvement hits. Again, I want this one badly enough that I've already allocated the funds, I just want to make sure I only have to buy it once, and I think their are some significant improvements yet to happen...
