Thanks for (another) very comprehensive changelog Frontier!

Has anyone heard of anyone suggesting in CONTROLS ... input sensitivity sliders on turret, x - y axes?
Would definitely help me out, I'm a rubbish shot!

Can we get the pitch bug sorted out on the SRV? No matter what you do you cannot change the pitch from its current setting. When using a game pad you cannot invert the axis nor can you input stick positions for theh pitch. You are stuck with pushing up to raise the nose of the SRV and pulling back to lower the nose.

Also, The SRV would benefit greatly if a 'thrust' style option for moving forward and reverse existed like it does for the ships in the game. What I mean is, being able to nudge the buggy along instead of simply turning up the throttle.

The current acceleration is fine as it is but the additional ability to nudge the buggy along where the velocity drops off again when you release the button would do wonders for controlling the SRV.

Can you not nudge it forward by using 'Assist Off'? Works for me. I do want to be able to use the thrusters on the wheels though to move horizontally.

Another exhaustive list of fixes - thank you for all the hard work that has gone into this.

Still nothing on developing the mobile app though. Can this please be looked into (especially re PP materials loading)?

Great stuff. I can't see any different in the snow, but I'm on a flat planet, so I guess I need to find some canyons. :)

Unfortunately adding fixed acceleration increments to the SRV seems to have broken the throttle, at least using accelerate and decelerate buttons (not an axis) on a gamepad and acceleration set to "continuous". With drive assist off (which I prefer) I can't accelerate past 1 - so basically crawling forward glacially. With drive assist turned on, I can either go full throttle or stop completely, nothing in between.

Hrm, if I set throttle increments instead, it gets even worse. With drive assist on, I can only go full speed ahead or nothing. With drive assist turned off, I can't move at all.

As a temporary fix, rebinding throttle to an axis on the gamepad solves the problem. Using buttons for accelerate and decelerate seems broken.

I find the lack of a 'nudge' a little to fidgety, particularly when on extreme edges of high pitch ground. Some kind of fine motor control would be great. I believe they added a range of % throttle positions, which was needed (well at least a 0%, ;))...some kind of small increment throttle would be a decent addition, something that at full throttle would only give you like 1% power...kind of like a low gear in an automatic transmission car.

Wow guys the textures on the ice surface are so crisp and clear now, it looks fantastic! And as a test, I found and approached a POI and it was there, visible from the cockpit!!!!! Even the skimmers appeared, buzzing around!! Outstanding work Dev team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you have iOS? At least you have an app, still waiting after a year for the Android version!

Well what I meant was that when I drive using 'Assist Off' that is what happens. I did switch to a pad as I found the SRV too awkward to control with the HOTAS, but when you just tap the accelerator it moves a little then returns to 0. However with 6 wheels each equipped with thrusters... We could have so much more control

The icy world i've just visited in Bhritzameno is very cool. Scaterring blue light climbing up from the canyons and up the walls and the ice there looks like it's almost glowing.
Loving the very nice and very cold looking permafrost and the textures running through certain areas. Icy worlds have never looked so cold and foreboding....

Houston we have a problem!

The SRV throttle is botched. With Assist Off there is not acceleration and with Assist On the throttle is either full or off, no graduation.

Extremly Low quality/missing/flickering Textures still not fixed and overal frame rate drop by 3 - 5 pixels.

Quite the impressive list of fixes there, woah.

I wonder how close this gets us to a release candidate? Because, you know, I don't have beta access, and I really want to rove around planet surfaces like NOW! :)
