Newcomer / Intro Glitch just cost me over 1.5 million credits

Long story short: I was running a nice little trade route that was netting me about 1 million per hour, which isnt too bad considering I'm running a Type-6 with only 100T of cargo space. I clicked on launch to head back out with 1.3 million credits worth of cargo in the hull, and when the station released my ship it flung me. It smashed my ship into the landing pad, then bounced it up against another part of the station. My ship was instantly destroyed, and I lost all my cargo along with the re-buy cost of a fully kitted out Type-6.

Two questions: Has anyone else had this issue? And does Frontier accept support tickets for reimbursements? I would normally never send in a support ticket for something like this, but I've been playing the game for less than 2 weeks, so 1.5 million is a lot of money to me.

Thanks,
_Fissure

Sidenote: I was at Nosakes Port in Brani when this happened.

Bug report it, open a ticket with the 1000's of others who think they rushed this game to beta and maybe you might get something back in around 3-5 days time.

Rather bizarrely last night i was in a station and selected launch, next thing i know my weapons deployed and started to fire at a ship outside the letterbox, needless to say i was blown up by the station. No i was not doing responsible for this it was a totally random thing that happened.

May be connected with sudden disappearance of rotational correction switch?
Definitely report the hell out of it.

(but also make sure your lateral thruster button isn't stuck to prevent making a fool of yourself :) )

No stuck buttons. My hands weren't even near my mouse and keyboard. I was recording my trade data on a notepad when it happened.

Just happened to me. Rapidly spinning station and I was flung against the sides as destroyed. 1.7 million insurance claim. Going to report this!!

FD just replied to my ticket. They reimbursed me the cost of my ship and my cargo.

Huge shout out to FD support for this one. Most game companies I know would have just shrugged me off and said too bad. The fact that FD helped out when a glitch impacted gameplay is awesome. Good on you, FD.

I have had something like this happen to me.
I use a Logitech 3D pro and I found that after a while the joystick drifts off alignment.
Sometimes as I fly I start to rotate.
If I am on the Launch pad and launching this drift can throw me to the side.
So I keep my hand near the joystick to grab it.
To fix the drift, I find I need to unplug the joystick USB plug for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in.
But if this happens as you Launch, especially in a Big ship, hit the Escape key and quit to menu, then go in again and you will be safely outside the Station.

I not sure this has anything to do with what you guys have experienced, but yesterday I noticed for a shot time(an hour or so) that something strange happened to my key bindings. I noticed when aproacing a station and Press the 1-key(to open contact list) sometime it also boosted my engines  I know I don't have any other key bindings to those standart keybindings and so after this happened 5-6 times for me, I decided to lower my landing gear for the rest of my game that day, to avoid any more unwanted boosting luckily the boosters doesn't work when landing gear is deployed.

Today I haven't notice this problem even ones, even though I haven't done anything to my computer, not even reinstalled my keybindings file, other that shutting it down last night and powered it up today.. So whether it was a temperary bug or FD have made a fix of some kind I can't say, just glad it didn't cost me anything other than a HUGE shock the first couple of times it happened... :)

In another thread they have reported this exact known issue...those that turned in tickets have been duley credited with the losses...so yes turn it in.

This is exactly what happens to me. It has been happening since the patch. I have the 3Dpro and do the "unplug and replug" thing for the solution. Also you can sometimes just give the stick a quick tweak like snapping your fingers and it will self center for awhile.
